Just the other day I was driving home, thinking about something I read on this very BBS, and was reminded of the comment you made about my wife.

I tried for the life of me to remember who it was who made the comment, but it was so meaningless and insignificant to me, I could not even remember your name.

Once again, I know what I have to go home to every night.

What do you go home to?

I would have to think it's money I gave the government that they are giving back to me, until they take it back again.

I would equate it to a loan.

I mean :
Did you gave 375$ and they give you 400$ back ?
or
Did you gave them 400$ they played with it during some month and then gave you 400$ back ?

In the first case I agree it resemble a loan ... in the second case it resemble a robbery

this money should have stayed in your pocket at 1st.

my children are grown but I can't think of any better investment in children than giving back some of their parents money.

Lighten up Straffo, it was a joke.

I don't recall what I paid in taxes last year, but I can assure you it was a hell of alot more than $400.00.

But the way I see it, you can't avoid it. You're going to pay one way or another. No matter who the politician is, you're going to get it in the tail somehow.

No matter how you slice it, it's $400 more than I had yesterday, and a slightly fatter paycheck come July.

Like you each $ (actually € for me

) I can put in my pocket is where it should be ...

But I still prefer not having to give 1st to have it back some month later.
During those month I should have made at least some 3% (tax free) with this money when the governement give nothing in return
