Yes, Wldthing, they're good. Kinda the "good" that defines what "good" means...

Lazs quote" you guys are picking some guys that will get slaughtered. "

Cool Lazs, may I have the winning numbers for Wednesday's Powerball?

It's nice to be acquainted w/ someone who knows how things will work out, ahead of time.

Thanks, in advance.

wildthing and steve.... don't get huffy cause nobody mentioned you but they did mention drex and leviathn... the reason is simple and no slur on you guys...

you simply aren't in the same league.

Oh.. and steve... I flew WB for years.. a lot of the guys that will fly for them I have flown against.   Drex and Leviathn are in my squad.   When there are large disparities of skill level it is not difficult to predict outcomes.

Lazs, I really didn't take it that way.. and I do recognize that Drex and Todd and exceptional, but that doesn't mean your "second string" would be slaughtered(that was my point, really).  There were some excellent pilots mentioned above and beyond those two.  Heck, you mentioned a few notables yourself.

Ya know, there are 5 rounds.  I think AH has  enough very good pilots.. why does it have to be the same 8 every time? I know Daddy asked that we select 8, but I am willing to bet more than just the best 8 sticks in AH could hand it to the WB'ers.
I mean, take your list, Lazs, and Lizard's... man there are some great sticks there... more than 8.

Yep.. there are.  I have just noticed over the years that in any duel you need guys with a lot of experiance in slogging it out and keeping track of multiple bogeys... I think you need guys that don't need energy advantage to win.   Sometimes a guy who is a great stick 1 vs 1 in fast planes is not a good choice for this kinda thing because it's over before he can even get set up.

I am not as good as most of those mentioned,  but I sure would enjoy an oppertunity to participate.

Lazs-  You sure have a way of cutting through the muck to get to the mire.

This really does sound like fun, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to make the Sunday duel, and the 10pm duels on Friday and Saturday cut it really close for me as well.

I would, of course, be happy to help as an alternate or to form a training squad to fly against the varsity guys.

The last I saw, the rule barring people with WB experience has been dropped.

Todd, here is another good reason to have more than 8 peeps.  You can make a couple, but not all.  The fights will be 8 vs 8.  but why  limit  the roster to 8 people?  Mathman has the same problem.  Would be a shame to exclude such willing and worthy folk because they cannot make one or two of the appointments. If I make the roster, I'll be happy to share my "slot" with either of you guys when you can make it.

Lazs, while I'm still learning the game, I think perhaps you underestimate me... you refer to slogging it out, keeping track of multiple bogs... etc. ... you even mention SA. some of my peers have said:  "Steve have awsome SA , and he one of the best 51 pilot in the game"
"Don't lose sight of this guy, or he'll make ya pay.He an Excellent 51 pilot with Superb SA.If you think he's gonna give you a shot on him, think again, and if you get one on him, you better make it quick, cause you won't get another."

Yes, these were AW days, but SA is applied in much the same way here, in AH.. a much better game.  :)

These were written by opponents,  some of the comments were written by teammates. Ya it's tooting my own horn, I apologize.  I'm not as good as Drex or Todd.. but I might be one day.. I'll have been in the game for a year this August.  :)
I'm working on it.

I don't know the WB guys, but they must be truly talented and experienced indeed if they all are on a par with say.. Drex.
I wouldn't be upset if I didn't fly... as long as we win.  ;)

Word of advice to the ones doing the duel... Do an long extension on the merge... Djust keep on flying and gain some alt before engaging...

Split up in groups of 4, one group extend hi to the left and one group hi to the right...
