I bet the lack of information is because they don't want the whinning to start until AH2 is actually released.

The best single piece of info they could provide would be an updated set of system requirements.

I take the silence to be a good thing.  In the past they have seemed to be the most quiet when they are about ready to release.  (I don't know why, maybe because they are busy with last minute details?)

No it won't be late if it isn't released at the end of the month.  All it means is that they missed their hoped for target date.  They never said it would be released in Q3, they've only said they hope[/b] to get it out by Q3.

You people kill me ... stamping your feet and demanding some sort of communication from HTC and staff. Yes we pay them ($14.95/month) for our enjoyment and the use of their service, but thats the end of it ... we enjoy ... they get paid. All is even. You people act like they owe us something.

Answer me this ...

When was the last time you had a private or public conversation/email/BBS post with Bill Gates as to the direction of windows and whats in store for the next release of his operating system or any other microsoft product ?

If you haven't heard from him as of late, will you be formatting your hard drive sometime soon and installing linux ?

... I didn't think so.

You call that stamping feet and demanding ?  Get a grip.  You think there is something wrong with asking for a FAQ update?

That's a really crapy way to look at as far as customer service is concerned.  And HTC prides themselves on their customer service record.

Not necessarily.

"It's the most diverse virtual arsenal available to players in this genre and it's constantly growing through frequent updates."

I think you guys are looking at it all wrong.  It's not about giving the client the bare minimum, it's about making as many as reasonably happy as possible.

Well Thrawn..

From what i have understood AH2 is a NEW product, not an "update"

Ergo, if it was an update within AH i would agree with you..

I may be wrong about this, but it would be nice if HTC would clarify if its considered a new product or an update.

SKUZZY !!!!!!! HITECH !!!!! :D

Think you have a good point there Thrawn.

I think we have to see that we have diffrent views on things and we have to respect that.

But why HTC have not come out with more info regarding the upgrade regarding PC spesification or grapich engine, sound, damage calculation, options on diffrent things etc. regarding the new AHII, will we probely find out when it comes.

But I think its my and others paying coustumors privilegium to think that its a bit odd that no more info on the above have been released. But this is again HTC privilegium to handle as they see fits.

I am just a paying coustemour like 1000 of others who pays these guys and for there future upcoming patches and upgrades for this game. Hmmm I like that line :D

And I have to say that I respect HTC and the team and can understand that it is difficult to pleas every bodye when its come to new patches or upgrades. And that it is werry hard to take when you have spent months on programming and worked your butt off by fine tuning it and finaly relase it and some pilots/people whine on it.  I can understand the frustration. But then again this is what it takes to make a game or be a programmer i think.

NB: I just sow a BBS post at IL2/FB regarding some miner changes the Madox team had done when adding the 190 aim marker in the cockpit, it had 987 post on this, so yes I understand it can be tuff some times for the game makers;).

I just see when I work on my squad website and think I have done a great job on some upgrades and I get flammed by my squad mates;).
I can understand HTC :D.

Bottom line this is no whine to HTC, just a pilot point of view and my egeer to realy looking forward to the releas of AHII. And hoping for some candy now and then intil it gets out:).

I'm as anxious as anyone else to see and try AH-II. As a matter of fact my continued subscription to AH hinges on it being a major step forward for AH.

But supposedly my "rights" as a subscription paying customer are limited  to the use of the existing product and nothing else, as it was put so uneloquently above?

Well then, duh!  But that's a double edged sword dude.  For if that is the way things are then I have to figure into my subscription the value that my time and abilities are worth when the time comes for HTC to ask customers to test and report bugs in the beta.  And IMO just how well HTC kept the customer base informed and involved just might effect players eagerness (mine anyway) to help out.
