Only watched it for the song lol. And my only comment, he didn't shoot down any of the comments when all you see him doing is shooting. The be a great pilot, one must have an outstanding understanding of ACM and outstanding aim. Skyyr already has the second one down, and he's been getting much better at the first, as I haven't seen the engine on/off thing in a bit from him, along with his reversals being next to spot on in a few of his videos, and lastly, the last time I dueled him, please tell me if I'm wrong, was 2 months ago and he was starting to grasp the Knife fighting style of combat.  :salute

If he showed the entire fight for each kill the video would be too long. I think this is about 20% of the film we have.

The be a great pilot, one must have an outstanding understanding of ACM and outstanding aim.
Stop here, end your post here!

:salute

Oh God you didn't stop :(. Why do people think that a prerequisite of knowing 'ACM' includes playing this game? He knew ACM way long before he knew how to shoot, Just because we don't stall/turn fight in the MA doesn't mean we don't know how..it means we chose not to..There is a difference between knowing how to execute an immelmann or hi yo-yo from actually executing it, consider the difference in games, physics and controls. I think I am starting to understand why people say "He doesn't know ACM" they might be stating it wrong, we didn't know how to execute because of the game physics but we are getting used to it now. You might have lead me to a greater plane of understanding! :salute

You also didn't watch the video too closely then (see second to last kill) if you are talking about engine cutting..it was epic lol.

Just because we don't stall/turn fight in the MA doesn't mean we don't know how..
I'm guessing that is exactly the reason... as I have been witness to the fish flop from both of you...  just sayin...   :aok

Ah, please see the full 1v1 duels here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99SfLWDQsiA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpULa7coeZU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAPV1Cq9bM0

Still need to upload Violator's.

As Kruel said, if we had uploaded all of the kills we have and shown the entire fights (240+, not counting DA fights), the video would have literally been about 18 hours long.

If you look at that list of names, they seem to have something in common....

A few years ago the same thing happened and it ended up being a squad on squad duel(AoM vs The Few)....which this will most likely turn into.

I know, right? Forget the 1v1's - how does an entire squadron manage to lose by nearly 100 kills to a single individual?

It's fairly easy when you write an program to pull the stats for you. It's one of the perks of being involved in digital work - stuff like this is literally the same type of stuff you do day in and out. ;)

The hardest part of the project was satisfying Kruel's perfectionist edits... though he made it turn out better than initially planned.

Its simple, you are our tool and we don't care because we don't have anything to prove. When you spend all your time looking for us with your squad in a MA (win the war game) and post vid's that show just kills, its easy. Like the one kill you got on me was when you logged off skyyr and logged on your shade Achilles to find just me to add to your film is funny as hell. ( he left that out of his film he he) Wonder how many other kill shots was using your shade to hunt roflmao. See what you don't get is we are the big game and you hunt us when we care less about your small time flying and you don't get it, its why you post films lol. Keep posting your edited vids because all it says is, hey I want to be like these guys hey look at me and know one cares but you lol. small time flying and you don't get it, its why you post films lol. There were no shades involved in any of the kills whatsoever. Every kill can be looked up and confirmed under "Skyyr." We can also provide full video for any of the kills in question - just ask and Kruel and I will have the full fight uploaded to YouTube for your viewing pleasure.

Achilles killed IKo in the MA awhile back 1v2 and he's been accusing me of being him ever since.

But, to the point, none of the Damned shade. The only thing we've ever used alternate accounts for is side-switching to get around the 12 hour rule.

I think what has happened here is that none of the AOM are impressed with your proof of powning muppets. It's not that you have some legitimate kills in the film and that are worthy of claiming ownage (for that fight..and only that fight)...I saw some good shooting and some nice moves.

The point is that AOM has been doing that since this game started and nothing in the film really impresses AOM. It may very well impress others but not AOM.

In the world of Aces High most of what you demonstrated we at AOM would call basic skills...well as far as our squad in concerned...internally I mean...among our selves.

What you really want to show is some 5 v 1 wins in a crappy plane....doing the "INK" and diving into a sea of red and living to tell about it....mabey some on the deck knife fight action or some nice wingman stuff.

Or mabey landing 15 or even 25 kills in the same sortie.

Killing Muppets means nothing.

Your movie was very entertaining. It was well edited. I thought it was fun to watch.

The problem is your plot is all wrong. There is nothing wrong with an AOM got killed video but I think you could have made an even better video if you had went about it a different way.

Young grasshopper Skyyr you have much to learn.....so far its looks promising but you would be a fool to think that your movie demonstrates any kind of pownage of AOM.

I am looking forward to your next AOM movie....next time lets see some really crafty flying...take it to the next level.....as I say "tricks are for kids you silly rabbit"

Yeah not showing deaths is a small sign of respect. It's not about who we kill. Its about getting the kills. That is the difference. We didn't have have to insult people in the making of our films. Oh and yeah pepprrs film was pointing out skyyr because of the vids he made before. She didn't even want to post it, butttt considering the circumstances it was necessary.

It actually wasn't a proxy. The only proxy in the entire montage was Changeup at the beginning. But since you asked, I'll upload the entire film of that fight for your satisfaction - it was actually a 1v2 vs you and iKo. Was a great fight - think I landed 6 kills that sortie. ;)

Nice editing.

Here is something for you to consider.

Kitty F4U sortie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeGmjq-mwzo

Film I made from a single sortie flown by Blukitty in around '05-'06. No fancy editing skills, no carefully selected sections of footage that gives a skewed impression. No personal insinuations or vendettas or points to prove. Poor graphics. Poor rendering quality. Just one player expressing themselves with exceptional ability and style in the pure blank canvas we all have access to that is our virtual sky.

Here is another one featuring a Dedalos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkOfH8UiUv8&index=49&list=UUDv2N2eCgvVdlHAq_SzSUZg

Bad editing, poor video capturing technique, etc. At least by this point I had worked out how to render the movie in slightly higher res. Still a big shame we can't use the mouse to look in the film viewer (hint hint Hitech)

This is the kind of flying that our community has always looked up to. Multiple enemies with advantage being defeated by a lone player. Ragged, daring artwork on the edge of control. reckless abandon being rewarded with victory against all odds.

Most of us progress to the stage where we can zoom around and pretty much kill anyone else in the game when we choose our battles wisely. Not many progress further than that to the stage where we deliberately put ourself at disadvantage in order to see what we can really do. These are the guys that win the respect of the whole community in one way or another with both their flying ability and their conduct.

I realise this is a personal vendetta, one with seemingly no end, and as such perhaps respect or showcasing art was not the intention. However, I felt it prudent to at least inform you guys of what has been looked up to and celebrated by the patrons of aceshigh for the last 15 years and beyond that in other sims.

Both pilots in those films are Muppets. Every member of our squad has at some point been recognised for flying like a reckless idiot in to impossible odds, flown like an artist and somehow come out the other side of it without a scratch. This is part of the reason why we are not only hated for being a bunch of degenerate idiots but also considered a force to be reckoned with in the virtual skies individually and as a group.

Skyyr, I have recently enjoyed the pleasure of your company in some 1v1 duels and I was impressed with your execution of some areas of the flowing canvas that are ACMs. It was also a lot of fun and I am very glad we did it. I hope to fight you again sometime. I was especially glad to see that in some of our fights you tried something new other than the E game.

I also had some time winging with you in the MA and again, I was impressed. Not by kill counts or landed sorties, but by the recklessness that I see you starting to employ, flying into outnumbered odds at low altitude and getting down and dirty. I think you have the potential to one day be considered 'good' at this game if you focus on being a colourful aerial artist and not a mechanical killing machine. Obviously social conduct and humility go hand in hand with that community driven rank and title. I wish you luck on your journey.

I enjoyed our fights as well. You've done better than any of the other Muppets to date (looks like Debrody can't stake that claim anymore :D).

This montage was not an attempt to showcase skill - it was rather a summary of the previous year and a reflection of what was said versus what ended up happening. Call it... irony immortalized for years to come.

There is another montage up and coming that should show more varied degrees of flying and fighting - please stay tuned to Kruel for that one.

I want to be in the film...pick me...pick me....seriously...You will find me low on deck....

I think you also recognised that if I was playing more than a handful of hours a month in the last year and my gunnery wasn't so rusty I would have made that more like 10-2.

Let us also consider that we were flying planes you choose in all but one out of thirteen fights.   190D, Yak-3 are both planes that I have rarely if ever flown. Yet I beat you in both. Heavily suited to Energy fighting and yet I accepted that because I knew you would probably stay and fight longer. The one fight we had in a 109G2 was not repeated for obvious reasons.

No, I don't believe that the score would have been any different if you had been playing without a break, because I've flown sims long enough to know that breaks of one, two, or even six months don't affect ones skill. They certainly never affected mine; if someone needs the excuse that they've "been on a break," they didn't know enough to begin with. If you add up the time you've been playing, then subtract the time you've been on breaks, heck - multiply the time away by two, even three, and subtract it - and you'll still have multitudes more experience than I. Therefore, the argument holds no weight.

Since you persist on going into details, technically the score was actually 7-6, where you lost half your wing after the HO/collision and you even stated that it was my win as you exited the fight (I took a screenshot, as well as film). Yes, you won one of the three D9 fights and one of two Yak-3 fights, though I'm not sure why that's significant to you. I beat you in the P-51 in every sortie, a plane I really never fly and I rarely fly the Yak-3.

You didn't beat me "from an E disadvantage" because we both started on level playing fields on every sortie (except for the last, where I rolled about 45 seconds late). Claiming you won from a disadvantage because you started off on a level playing field and then put yourself there is disingenuous. Again, you seem to make excuses and prefaces for every one of your losses, yet somehow your "wins" are skilled because "they were from a disadvantaged position."

With all due respect, you guys make excuses for every one of your losses, even when they're "friendly." Where I come from, a loss is a loss is a loss. Period.

Skyyr, I'm curious, do you purposely say these things to get a reaction? Because I know for a fact that when we weren't just messing around and actually fighting, you often struggled to pull out a win. I'm not saying this disrespectfully, just pointing it out.  :aok  I don't wish to see any of your films, this isn't about films.

Have I actually "dueled" you? No. Therefore, how could this comment pertain to you?

You've asked me not to keep score during our duels and asked me to keep them purely for fun, and I've done that.

You actually apologised for the HO and stated it was my win, but being a gentleman I claimed otherwise. I don't have screenshots because that would be a bit sad.

Fight #1 at 7.3 k range after nothing but climbing and flying level at 5k. Your speed 371, my speed 335. Victor of the fight, me. Seems like my statement was in fact true at least once which puts enough doubt on your statement for me to not need to trawl through any more film.

Rather than enter a debate about your multitude of erroneous statements in that last post I will just ask you one question.

No, I didn't state it was your win. Trust me when I say I would never do that, as I would never give away a win, even out of respect. Would you like the screenshots of the chatlog? I can produce them.

I DID apologize for the HO, but only to let you know I didn't think you were going to nose-up in time. We agreed to anything goes, and therefore it was still legitimate. Actually, I just checked to confirm. Here was what I said, "sorry - didn't think you were going to pull that out." That was all I said, as you continued on past 6k visual range.

To answer your question - the truthful answer? It was fun fighting someone who was actually decent for a change, but no - as I stated before the fights, I do not enjoy 1v1's in this game, mainly due to the myriad of excuses that inevitably come from them (as outlined in your post: my shooting was off, I'm rusty, you HO'd me, etc.). As I said, I've played several flight sims and in every other game, a loss is a loss. Here, there's a codex of excuses for every type of loss.

I play for one thing: to kill. That is the only thing I enjoy.

As I stated, I salute you and your skill, truly. However, I greatly disdain the attempt to minimize losses, especially when you repeatedly asked me to fight you (you asked me four or five times that night). To request that someone repeatedly fight you, only to minimize your losses (I never said a thing about mine) and then turn it into some sort of reverse pseudo-victory ("if I had been back in shape you would've lost 10-2") is about as classless as it gets.

:salute

I'm close to getting back into the game. I'm settling down, and candidly, video like this helps. I miss serious ACM, even though I was only above average at it.

As for the characters in this video. I have world class respect for the Army of Muppets. Class crew, great sticks and as a squad one of the best. The ongoing debate between Skyyr and AOM is classic 'call out' contest. Whatever. <S> both sides, even as they hate each other.

Once AH launches AH3 (or so I am told), and I finish settling down, we need to gorilla market the crap out of AH, triple our numbers, and get squads back into action. Then, we need to get the Squad Dueling League (SDL) going again. At which point we'll see if Loose Deuce will take me back. And if Dhyran will come back.

Dare to dream....

Hello mate! Long time since we've fought, too long. Life is very good, yesterday I jumped skydive #61, working my way towards buying a wingsuit and jumping off mountains :)

How are you?

Skyyr is just another ungrateful, mildly sociopathic, ego-maniac who can't even enjoy a fun few fights without turning it into another wrung on the ladder he is building up to the very summit of his own backside.

Spending your days jumping out of perfectly good airplanes now eh? Well at least you're doing it in order to work towards turning yourself into one.

I'm good. Still don't have enough steady income so can't come back yet. It got boring having the TA empty all the time anyway. Maybe I'll start a club or something in there once I do get back. I remember I made a squad called The TAng Gang a long time ago. I don't care how corny it is, I'll make it again!

As for Skyyr, I've gotten pretty good at seeing through these kind of guys. No worries tho, the fun is in the fight.  :airplane:

Don't worry about that poison, he's just explaining things to me in a way that I can understand.  :aok
