The particular irony in this case is that the player in question isn't shy about telling another player how much they suck or challenge other players to duel for accounts or throw out his fighter stats to show how good he is.

EDIT: I think that this new feature will make it quite obvious that separate perks for each arena is not a bad idea at all.

It's not too hard to figure this stuff out. Go to midwar scores, look for people with ridiculously high kill/time scores, then look them up with the new score page.
It's usually high K/S, K/D and hit percentage. Kills per hour isn't a good indicator that someone is vulching a 2nd account.

shade accounts are compulsive evidence to suggest that many people dont know who they are yet, many others don't like who they are yet and most despressing of all they really, really care what some other intardnet moron like me or you thinks about them.. :uhoh
Just pick a personality and stick with it for crying out loud! Just be who you are and take the rough with the smooth. There is no possible way of being liked by everyone, you have to make a choice about which people you are going to be hated by, there is always a few.
as to using shades for score manipulation...who cares..making the shade account already takes your first place prize for things to be concerned with.

You sure it's showing hit percentages? I thought it's showing percentage of kills that plane type makes up. If you only killed one type of plane, it would show 100%. If you killed 4 types of planes in your Spit, each of those planes shows 25%. Follow me?

If I'm not mistaken, the percentage listed is a percentage of total kills in a certain type of a certain type, and not a "hit precentage".

One thing I have noticed is the vulching a shade account isn't really being done for rank anymore, which in my opinion stems from those that do it for score being exposed and having their ranks erased by HTC. The new trend seems to be to vulch a shade account to farm perks to use in the LW, which is why you see a lot using fighters to vulch 2nd accounts in a GV. This way, the kills won't count towards their fighter score, potentially exposing these twits and they still get perks for the kills.

I'm sure it's just an unfortunate coincidence that trebor runs into Amsoil21 so often.
How many is that now that have been exposed? Anyway, I'm glad to see this new system in place, the "Duke nukem" type players can't actually hide anymore and manipulate their way to the next "level"
I still don't understand why someone would pay for an extra account to shoot down. I mean, how many of us actually fly the perk crates on a regular basis? So to me it's a pricey way of acheiving zip, nada, zero.

How fortunate to run into Trebor (Trebor is a brand of mint candy in the UK) so often. Personally I have shot down as many single types of bombers in 1 tour but never the same guy.
We see that Trebor is an active account in that it did / does fight back. Check his stats 9 kills to 268 deaths. Is it feasible that it's a newbie in the wrong place at the right time, for Amsoil at least?
If the IP's are different which I suspect they are I wounder about the service provider.

When I was on the AH home page, it kinda struck me as odd that there was a guy who I've never heard of before ranked as #1, Usually you have the usual guys all in the mix at the end and up pops this guy from nowhere, glad to see it was exposed by the community, don't care if folks want to get extra perks, it's the manipulation of the rank system to the detriment of the legit guys who work to get up there that doesn't sit well with me :mad:

After spending a few nights away i'm surprised to come back and read this,
Trebor was amsoil's "brothers account" and it's obvious that he has used it to get the overall number one rank.
Now lets not pretend this hasn't been done before by certain reformed members of the community but I would suggest HTC remove his stats for tour 105 and acknowledge the players that rightfully deserve a mention.
The Few do not condone any sort of shade account killing and Ams will get whats coming to him.

If we as a group condone 'anything goes' in the game as long as you can get away with it, we don't have much hope for the game or the people in it.

Was flying around with 1HungLo in a boring arena and there were some guys talking about score on 200 (which i highly disagree with--i think score should be taken out of the game completely) so he PMed asking me if i wanted to go cry-farming. I simply PMed back "What's that?" His reply was "Up a P-40E or P-39D at base so and so and fly to the vehicle spawn." I did and as soon as i came into a view of a FLAK i started getting proxies. So I got to asking him about WTF he was doing. He simply replied as "I'm gonna give you x amount of kills and you land them to see how many cries we can get from people. His original number was about 60 kills and i said no way. I stopped at 31 and landed (Of those 31 about 25 of them were proxies..i shot at him about 6 times and got a measely 9 perks out of it). And not 5 minutes later i deleted my account because i KNEW what was going to come of it after i was done. Got to Texting MstWntd (SpikesX) about it later that day and he wanted me to come back...so i came back with a new name. I even left Wings of Terror to save them the trouble of having even more comments about them being a "Scorepotato" squad. Now I'm done explaining my simple teenage stupidity.

You don't need to pay for another account to vulch yourself with.... Two week accounts or someone else's credit card # that you know won't be charged work just fine for people willing to cheat to get ahead in this game

Actually I think the vast majority of AH players isn't that much inerested in score anyway - otherwise HO wouldn't be the standard MA ACM, and Lancstukas & suicide porkers be be the exception rather than the norm ;)
Score was just as important to just as many players in AW as in AH. You would never see guys like RAGS or C00RS auger like you mentioned for fear of not getting max points.

When it's concerning your own squad and it's reputation the cheater is worse of course. What makes you think it's ok to not say anything at all Grind?
The whistle blower should get top priority attention from all of it's members especially the CO, if they really ever did care about the squads reputation to begin with. I firmly believe if it's just one guy causing the problems whether XO or not, he should be dealt with immediately and set straight or let go so as not to further spread that type of behavior... unless of course you come from a different type of squad.
IMO There should always be someone there to stand up and fight for whats right unless of course no one cares. Then just boot the guy who's putting up the big stink and let him find a different squad that meets his standards of fair game play.
I'm sure this new scoring utility tool will have many of the more honorable squads sending remind notices to it's members. With the exception of the one, the Aces & 8's are and will continue to be an honorable squad, they just made a mistake. For some it's to late and for others it's just in time. I doubt it will completely stop 2nd acct. vulchers or perk farmers but at least we will know who is who.

Padding scores by repeatedly offing a shade is the weakest form of gaming the game there is. I think HTC should not let this activity benefit a player. If they want to do it, fine, it should just not count towards their perks or score.

In any sport, the score becomes academic when it seems like the rules of fair play don't apply to one team.
The reason people said they didn't care about score in AH was because people knew the scoring system was wasn't fair, being thrown out of whack by imbeciles shooting shade accounts but with no one able to prove anything.
When a total unknown with poor Main Arena fighting skills (but only anecdotally) rises to #1 in the scores, you'd be a fool not to wonder if something was fundamentally wrong with the scoring rules.
In other words, folks had a good feeling the scores weren't reflective of actual real gameplay.
Now that the new scorig pages are in place, we know this for sure. Finally.
I predict caring about score will be cool once all the cheaters are brought to light, and the system in is place to keep everyone honest and the scores to at least be fair.

We do remove the perks as well and they get a warning.
However, I have also had to warn other players about confronting the player in question as well. Someone gaming the game will not be tolerated, but we will also not tolerate players confronting others in the arenas.
Doing that creates paranoia and angst for any new player coming into the game. The proper way to handle to this situation is to bring it directly to HTC's attention (email or PM's work fine) and we will take care of it.

Only got about 3 kills before the Rooks took my beloved shore battery out. Have never seen another map where the shore battery could do that.

With no apparent action from HTC, like anything else in life, people feel they need to take it into their own hands. I am not saying it's right, I am saying it's a natural response to inaction by the "authorities".
I know there is a lot of talk about like "HTC doesn't mind if people have 2 accounts, it's an extra $15 in their coffers. That's why they don't do anything about people vulching second accounts." I wonder how many people canceled because of this uncontrolled behavior?
