This is just an apology from me to all of us on 200. I have had so much going on in "Real Life" lol, that I have let it affect the way I approach playing AH. And, I tend to a lot of times complain on 200 and that is wrong. Sure, sometimes there may be a bogus pick, or a bomb****, etc, but thats their perogative and its just a game. I played last night tellin myself that its all in good fun and I must say that it was the most enjoyable night ive had in awhile playing, especially 200....lots of jokes, some stories, and overall just great time. Thanks guys and I myself am cutting down the unnecessary BS on 200 because 85% of the time I get myself into that situation lol. So, again, my apologies to those who I have called out or been overall just a male member to lol...wel, excet Midway lol<S>

Best advice for you Sir. Detune the cesspool. I am now at 4 years untuned to the channel of crap slinging. Makes for a happier game! :aok

And no worries Scotty, we all get a little frustrated now and then. I try to only use 200 for positive comments but sometimes it's real hard not to lash out. I try to take a short break when I feel that coming on, doesn't always work though :(
-
Every time I think about saying something negative on 200, or private, I log for an hour or so. That way I miss the fun and only have myself to blame for it. I will PM you a bit of a tease every once in awhile but I try to keep it light and always include a <S> and a :). I used to ask nicely those that were blowing up 200, but I feel that empowers those who insist on getting attention by griefing others, now I throw out a <S>, inform others I'm detuning 200 untill it settles down, then turn it off for awhile.
Normally after about an hour I'll tune it back on and find everything has settled down. 200 can either add to the game or take from it, just like the we as individuals can add or take from the game because of how we choose to interact with others.
If I must question what I want to say on 200 or as a PM, I always ask myself just one question. Would I be embarrassed if my father saw what I said.

I have never tuned to 200. Wonder what I'm missing.

This +100
Heck, I've even started the .squelch of selective Country channel people who think they pay my monthly subscription. Political commentary or pushy armchair commanders get silenced.
EDIT: And noisy squeakers, of course.

Or tune to it now and again and smile as you right click on names and do reports like I do.

Same here :) but found out reporting yourself does nothing.
But I did find this funny contraption I have to blow into to run Aces High next to my joystick.
And not it wasn't my inflatable ewe.

You are not missing anything of value on 200, unless you want your text-buffer filled with moronic chatter by a few people who likely halve the average intelligence in any room they enter.
I have tuned 200 only a handful of times to ask a question or to identify an opponent I had a particularly good tangle with. It took only a short while to learn that 200 is the home of an element of the “community” that is not worth associating with. Now I will preemptively squelch people like DMGod and RedDevil, two of the worst offenders during my play hours, before I ever tune in 200.
It is one thing to trade barbs in jest, but the standards of conduct on 200 are quite low. It’s too bad, as this likely sets bad examples for newer players who think this level of conduct and being a “200-text-warrior” is part of the game.
Flame away, but this is not intended as a whine – simply feedback based on my experience.

I turn 200 back on now and then and maybe for couple of minutes. Then I turn it back off. Country chat is just as interesting as times though.

I can confirm that he is not on 200. Instead he uses PMs to explain to you how you suck and never get any better after his failed pick lead to his death :rofl
Yeah, 200 bothers you eh? :rofl

Pure fiction. If that is your in-game name, I'm fairly certain I've never had a PM exchange with you.

Sorry, it's vKINGPIN since I joined the Devil's Brigade a.k.a. the vTARDS. If you feel compelled to look up my mediocre stats, you can find them there.

Kingpen and I have PM'd back and forth a few times, usually a "you again?" or "good shot" or something, all in good fun. I joke that I'm the one who spelled it right. :)

I'll tune 200 for a couple minutes then one of the many aholes that think their a real ace remind me why to detune it.
-
Outside of the usual suspects getting into purse fights, or politics, 200 seems fine to me. Always good to BS with the folks I'm flying with and against. I just can't get that worked up about it. I'd say the positive interactions on 200 far exceed anything bad about it.

Have tuned to 200 channel exactly twice in the better part of five years. Both times, it was back off inside of two minutes. Nothing but bragging, taunting, whining, sycophantic attaboys and conversations best not seen while trying to enjoy my game time. I can get all that on country channel and the text bar moves at a much nicer pace with 200 off.

Hmm, I've had it on the entire time and would disagree with you. Looks like you managed to hit a couple of bad spots on those 4 minutes you been on it :)

Sometimes I wish I were a fly on Midway's wall, us pigs have a real love-hate relationship going on there some nights, and he always happens to be "that poor unlucky red guy".

If nothing gets to you, I could see your point. Quickly felt my blood pressure rising when tuned in - and I wasn't even involved in the tirades - err polite discussions going on. Seemed like the "nice fight" compliments I heard about were on hold for those brief interludes. Same BS both times.
-
wow, someone hurt his feelings :lol
Nope. You missed the mark. Nice try though. You see, I'd actually have to repect them in order to care enough about what they say to take it personally.
My point was mainly that I have no interest in reading the wall of moronic text that scrolls by from the people who abuse 200 in that fashion. That is exactly what many others have stated here.
Given your comment, you seem more on their level, so I don't expect you to understand.
-
Atta boys are just fine. Nice to have a good fight and have a way to show some appreciation for it. There is nothing wrong with the idea of 200. Just the folks who use it sometimes need to be squelched. What is the squelch limit? 10?
-
I don't have time for 200. This is war, not Oprah.
My squad has a complex rank based structure. Orders can change at any moment. Someone could get called to dinner in R/L, or have a thunderstorm at their house. It's happened before. We need all channels to be accessible at all times. Without proper communication, an entire wing could be lost, easily jeopardizing the mission. If I were to tune to 200, I might not get the message that the town is down and I could get killed holding onto troops when I could have let them go. I feel that it is unacceptable to let down my brothers in arms.
"Loose lips sink ships." Yeah, I've heard it. It inspired another little saying in our squad..."Channel 200 or victory"
I don't even have the TV or radio on when I fight in Aces High. It has to be a really cold night for me to even let the dog in the house when I'm serving. One Squirrel or rabbit outside could have her barking, and me missing crucial Intel.
Chitchat about sports, women, or current events has no place in total war. Some of you may think this is a joke. That's the problem with the world today. Everyone is trying to be a clown instead of getting things done. Well, I am the exception. I get things done. I win warz.
If you love your country and your freedom, detune 200.

Everytime I tune to 200, I lose my text privaleges :bhead
Yup I made the mistake of calling someone a "colliding turd" 4 days ago, turns out that person had moderator privaleges so I didnt get muted, I had my whole chat privalege revoked :uhoh
I tried tuning to him to apologise and just got another chat revoked message :bhead
I can deal with that, but what irked me was one of his countrymen calle me a C--t on text a few days earlier (and without the gaps, It was the actual spelling) but pretty sure no action taken there.
Anyhoo to the wonderful, awesome, well endowed moderator who didint at all abuse his power, could I please have my chat privaleges returned? i have learnt my lesson, scouts honor :salute
Oh and 200 is now well and truely tuned out on my radio
-
All I can say is thank god people cant hear the pigs vox channel, everyone of us would get chat and voice banned... LOL

Now I support the moderators 1000% and know they have a hard job but that seems a little over-moderated. I'd email Skuzzy with the details.

When you fly on all three sides it is almost imperative to tune 200 to be able to talk across country with friends/competitors/enemies.
It is much more fun than out SAPP Spiz network.

There has been a whole lot of "you can't do that, it's impossible" lately.
Followed by the "I'm sending in the film". To which a proper answer is... " good, they could use a good laugh too" :)

I played WOT hard for a month or so, and aside from what I think about that game, the biggest difference I gleaned between here and there is all the social stuff on 200, channel, and range.........kinda missed it....even tards like the new guy who was taunting WW last night was a hoot :rofl
