If given a hard choice Id MUCH rather  get in a car with a driver stoned on pot over a driver who's had a few beers hands down.

A Drinking driver  tends to speed alot and might not stop at a redlight.
a stoned driver will drive slower out of paranoia that he might get pulled over and will stop for the redlight, again out of paranoia.
Now he may forget to go again once the light turns green. but he sure as hell  will stop for the redlight. LOL

Failed business, failed philosophy, failed life. You're batting 1.000

actually many families that owned plantations are still very well off today.  I guess if you call long lasting wealth a failure you may be correct.

Nope, I believed it, I just found it hard to believe. I had to do a google search to see what a 5 gallon bucket even looks like, and it's not that hard to believe anymore.

The "bail"(not bale) of a bucket is the handle.

Its a rarity when looking at the overall numbers but something like 30-40 kids a year die by falling into half full buckets of water.

Head first they just dont have the mass to knock themselves over
and drown.  Life can be awful ****ty even for youngsters.

Yeah, looking at those buckets, the water inside is prolly heavier than the kids who would be able to fit head first inside them.

Not only that, but the diameter looks big enough to allow a kid's shoulders and arms to fit inside, but not big enough for any kind of motion once there.

I'll either get some of those buckets, or some kids, but not both. Frankly, this is really starting to trouble me. I'm with Airhead, and I will do my part by writing to my local omnibudsman to legislate against these dangers.

Sandman, I'll trade ya my balcony for your yard. :)

That and the "do not touch red glowing element" warning labels on electric stovetops would be good...

Perhaps skywriting that would say.. "when raining there may be a drowning hazard if you stare up at the rain with your mouth open".

finestein and boxer give us that warm, fuzzy, protected "moving back in with mom feeling" that democrat voters love so much.

I've got a few of those 5-gallon buckets that I use around the pool, usually to pre-mix shock treatments. You can have my buckets when you pry them from my cold dead fingers. :)

I probly have too many 5 gallon buckets but I like to have a dozen or so around just in case they are banned.   The black buckets may be the first to be banned under new finestien laws.   Since UV rays don't affect them as much they don't deteriorate and fall apart.   She is calling them assault pails and claiming that the ban would be worth it if it saved only one child.

sandie will be branded as a bucket nut and ostracized from lefty forums.

It's obvious none of you has ever been the victim of a walk-by bucket attack while lounging around the pool. I'll tell ya, five gallons of ice water in the face and YOU would all be in favor of bucket control too.

It has nothing to do with politics- it's for your own good.

well... if it's for my own good (or even anyone elses) then I guess I better get in step and vote for it...

The right thing for any democrat to do really is to think before they vote... say to themselves.. "what would mommie want me to do?"
