It's true, it's true!

I'm getting a wx brief now before my flight.  Next to no time here for even sleep!  8hrs of ground school each day with flights in the early a.m. and lots of bookwork at night.  It's a pretty intense program but if you come prepared (read ready for your checkride in need of just a little polishing) it's no real show stopper.

Straiga's personal information is in no way mine to solicit.  What's so hard to understand about that?  I know he's legit, evidently you guys haven't been doing as thorough a job as you thought 'revealing' his identity.  Of course the poor 'name' you think is Straiga is not living up to your expectations.  You don't have the right one.

You want his info, get it from him.  I've seen his ticket.  I've seen a photo album.  Haven't been to his house yet, as above next to no free time here.  I don't even have a car.  I love those laws which allow me to rent a $200,000 airplane and fly it solo in IMC but I cannot rent a Ford Focus.  Amazing.

Back to work.

And how would you suggest I do that?

I have no E-Mail for him, I have no phone number for him, he does not post any longer and he certainly hasn't sent me a note on the Hotmail address I posted here.

Toad,

You'te not goping to get an answer from staiga either. Golfer IMO is just a troll here now keeping the "controversy" going for his own amusement. If he had seen the albums and license he would have had ample information to post and prove staiga one way or the other. Of course it's not up to golfer to do that, it's up to staiga.

I doubt we'll hear from staiga under this name again as he is thoroughly burned in his stories. He can't come up with the info as it doesn't exist. The excuse that he hasn't got access to the internet (while based in Vegas?!?!?!) is as bogus as his P51 and B17 stories.

Time to close the issue and forget the golfer / straiga love fest. Neither (IMO) is worth any more time or bandwidth.

I have a question...

I am a VERY observent person (being a sniper and all) and miss very little.  However, I'm confused.

What is the big deal?  So the guy is living in a fantasy world.  So what.  He's (or she) is probably reading all this stuff and laughing their fanny off at how much time people are wasting over this subject.

Lets quit worrying about the lies and all go into the MA and fly around.  I would prefer if everyone flies straight so I can shoot them down easier.  I've only got 300 hours in a P51 so I'm not very good yet :D

This would not be a big deal modas, other than the fact that Straiga has continually tried to find fault with the flight model and other aspects of the game, and has based all his observations and criticisms on his degree and vast expiereiance in the warbird and aviation community.

Even after Hitech has answered his questions/criticisms Straiga has fallen back on his supposed expieriance to tell HT he is wrong.

This is the reason I think he owes the community a little proof.

exactly.  Our old friend KenJr in AW was using his father owning a B17 and his own flight time in said 17 to try and win the debates on those boards.  Once he used it as the basis for an argument he made it fair game to question.

Turned out he was full of it too.

Hitech said, it.  The guy spouted off credentials so Hitech had answer him more fullly, because we would take the guy more seriously.  It wouldn't be a good idea for HT to leave those allegations about the game out there  because they were backed up by these credentials..

So Hitech spends more time posting responses than working on the game we all like to play.  This delays the release of new updates, and hurts HTC.  So really we are doing a community service.  :D

Eh, I think this stream has run its course. Nothing left here for now, but if and when he returns, we'll have pleanty to dredge up. To be honest, other than selling Go'fer a can of magic beans, I don't think we'll see our 7,000 hour Chopper pilot multi-expert AE professor, Airline pilot Tomcat Vet Heir to the Oklahoma Airport dynasty around anytime soon.

But if and when he does show up, these threads will always be here.

Ah, I see.  I must have missed that.  I guess I have to go back to sniper school to be more observant.

I thought he (she) was just making stuff up.  Never mind then.

Did I mention I was a sniper?  I'll post pics later....  Much later....

Hey Golfer, what was straiga's excuses for diving away from the BBS? What did he say when you told him everyone thinks he is full of it? Why didn't he post a pic on here instead of showing you? Those questions should be answered by him, not by you. You answering for him makes you and him look bad. Someone questions my integrity I would go out of my way to prove I am not full of it. Ok, maybe he is a pilot but not the one he claims to be. I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe someone with 500 hours in their dad's p51 would not post a pic on the Aces High BBS. He laid all those claims out and got called on them. He has not proven anything to this board and sorry to say but you saying its all true isn't gonna cut it. WE WANT PROOF!

I actually hope Straiga is telling the truth, would love to have some knowledge about how the real P-51 fly's on here.

Maybe he just doesn't want to put out on open bbs all of his personal details so dweebs dont keep contacting him?

Or maybe he is just a dirty liar?

Best thing for him to do would be to contact HTC, let them know, then they can relay the info.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

I opened a special hotmail account just for him and posted it here. So far... no reply.

All I'm asking for is the N-number on the Mustang, the first thing he must have said every time he initiated a radio call during his 500 hours. "ZXCSE tower, this is North American XXXXX..."

I believe that's all I need to verify his story. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it would be enough.

I'm not going to post his name here if/when I determine it... although someone anonymously sent me a name....  but I will post on the 500 hour claim's veracity.

I'm pretty sure he is lying about his R/C planes as well, especially his suposed big 5 bladed prop Spitfire. Everybody runs 2 or  (rare) 3 bladed props on those big engines and there is no commericaly avaiable 5 blade prop. Of course he would just lie and say he made it himself or got it custome or some junk like that but it's all highly unlikely...

The guy is just a pathological liar...

Just ask yourself dont you think a Navy F14 pilot, son of former AF colonel/general, with a masters degree in areonautics, with 500 hours in a P51, with 7,000 hours in a helictoper, who flies B767 for Hawaiian Airlines etc etc etc would have a simple time proving it all or would be just a little bit known in rather small and tight avaition community?

Oh, I am sure he is lying as well.  I was just trying to be funny.

...and didn't voss at one point try to play off all of his supposed P-51 experience as a case of bbs folks misinterpretting his R/C experience.  Might be wrong, but I kinda remember that.
