At what point is a movie so bad that it becomes good?

Is it at "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes"?

There wasn't a scene in the movie that wasn't painful to watch.  All time worst movie ever..

I think you guys are getting off topic some. We can name **** for nothing movies all day, but what are the biggest let downs?

I was pretty disappointed with Independence Day. I thought they had a good chance to make some sweet combat scenes but the entire US air defense being made up of the same cloned F-18 killed that. Seemed pretty lazy not mix in some other stuff. And the part where the guys roll their eyes at Randy Quaid when he starts talking about being abducted by aliens while organizing an attack on the aliens.:huh

King Kong and that last X-Men movie are the most recent for me.

I cant believe you BlueJ, LOTR was great.:D

Iron Eagle was also terrible...

but I cannot stop myself from quoting it all the damn time.  Just today I left the following message on my buddy's phone:

"They wern't runnin' they were just getting out of the way.  Now move your butt...get out of the range of those guns!"

You must have Snake on the brain.

Hey nice shot colonel...anything else you wanna send over?

Biggest movie mistakes?

Thats simple...anything airing on SciFi.  Talk about B-Movie City, oh how I wish MST3K was still around to lay the smack down on the abominations coming out of Canada.

Old movie:

Does anyone remember the movie where Sean Connery is a sorcerer and lives in what looked like a giant floating tiki god chiminea moving slowly about 100 feet off the ground?  Inside there was a huge cache of modern weapons laying about.  The action took place in Scotland mainly, but the floating fortress could appear anywhere.  That was a weird one..:D

The only two movies I've seen that could resemble that are Zardoz and Highlander.

Worst? Sooo many. Independence day, the New King Kong, Signs, Waterworld, you named them.
But why did nobody name Steven Seagal?
Man, I thought Under Siege was ok. but anything else...not.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I've seen so many movies that I don't keep track of spoilers anymore.. I make a conscious effort to keep my disbelief suspended so as to not miss out on the gems amidst the charcoal, so that a movie has to really suck before I have no choice but to tell myself I have better things to do, and walk out.
Those movies I forget quickly, unless they're bad enough to feature in MST3K.

But off the top of my head, Pierce Brosman cast in any role other than the snobbish scientist in Mars Attacks.

Is that the one with the battleship?  U.S.S. Alabama?  Filmed here in Mobile on the Alabama.

Yep. I guess. Thought it was the Missouri,  but not sure anyway.
Tommy Lee stole the scene though.
