Yes.  Just the same as I was when I was your age.

Alright then, I can see where youre coming from. I guess I was raised under the impression that while "pissed off" isn't the nicest way to put it, it isn't a 'bad word'.

Would you say it to a 5 year old?

No?  Good it's settled.

Yes?  You still need some learning.  My teacher was a paddle ball paddle.

I don't see the word "pissed off" as being inapropriate, but then again ive heard a 5 year old (multiple ones actually) say "'F' you" so perhaps im just from a different part of town.

I don't see the word "P-O" as being inapropriate, but then again ive heard a 5 year old (multiple ones actually) say "'Francisco" so perhaps im just from a different part of town.

In my days in radio, the "heavy seven" were totally off limits.  They still are.

You could use the Papa word for male as long as you were discussing something medicinal, you just couldn't call someone that.

Nowadays on TV you CAN say P-O.  It didn't used to be the case, but I hear it on my wife's soap opera smack dab in the middle of daytime television all the time.  I have also heard it on the radio alot here lately.  It seems pretty harmless considering.

I don't believe players typing the Papa word into the radio text buffer 55 hundred times like I saw a couple of weeks is a good idea.

There are some pretty much harmless words that ARE "warning" words in-game that don't seem like they need to be.

Maybe they are considered escalation words that could lead to worse ones.  Seems odd that there are words ok to be used in the Bible that are banned here.  Seems overly Pilgrim to me.

i can tell ya...if they were my 5 year olds...they wouldn't be saying that......IF they did, they'd, it'd only be once..they'd learn better after that one time.

I really haven't any issues with the other words mentioned here (that they can't be said), but I want 'chit' back---it's such a useful word, and conveys SOOO many things with just 4 letters: "Chit, I crashed"..."Chit, he rammed/Ho'd me", "That ack hitting me was a bunch of chit", "Im gonna egg that little chit", "Chit, wife is home".....I miss chit

text filter issues?  you think you have it rough here........these are the posted rules about text filter issues at another board I post on:

Bypassing The Censor: Members are prohibited from attempting to bypass the built-in sensor mechanism that automatically replaces profanity and other banned words & phrases with a series of asterisks. Bypassing is any action to thwart the intended function of the censor, such as attempting to divulge the actual censored word or words by means of using other spellings, symbols, rhymes, or any facsimiles thereof.

here's some more:

Bi-Posting: Members are prohibited from using or registering more than one username. Multiple user names (Bi-Posting-ghosting-cloning) is not permitted. Members who continue to Bi-Post do so fully at their own risk, as we periodically sweep our registered user lists with software designed to delete such multiple accounts, and this software does not differentiate between primary and secondary usernames. Once a username is deleted/banned by our sweep software, it is absolutely unrecoverable.

they have another unwritten rule that would get most of you banned in this thread.........it's called "Grandstanding"...which is openly complaining about the Mods.  if you want to do that...you have to send them a private PM.

I got muted for an hour last night for saying, "crap". 2 other of my squadies got the same punishment also.

Moderators abuse their power beyond belief. We should be allowed to say anything we want ( barring racial, deflamatory, etc, remarks) for the $15 we pay per month. I hardly think saying "crap" over 200 merits an hour warning.

I would like to give that moderator a piece of my mind. He is a complete twit, utter moron, and he hides behind the anonymity of the moderator position. Get a life, and stop ruining people's fun for such a trivial thing. TURD.

deflamatory ? ... I think you meant ... "inflammatory".

OK ... so we can say ANYTHING we want ... EXCEPT ... "DaveJ's List" (which he gets to make up, which includes "etc") ... so you decide on what is "OK" ... is that any different than any Mod making the same decisions ?

Would you give HiTech or any HTC Staff ... "a piece of your mind" ? ... and during that conversation would you then go on to say to any of them ... "Your a complete twit, utter moron, and you hide behind the anonymity of the moderator position. Get a life, and stop ruining people's fun for such a trivial thing. TURD."

What makes you think that the "Mod" that spanked you was not HiTech/HTC Staff in "incognito" ?

Judging by how you conduct yourself in the arenas I really doubt your innocent in all of this.  :noid  Based on what I've seen the past you were probably running your mouth on 200 making excuses, calling people turds and the mod had enough.

Was not running my mouth on 200 at the time. All I said was "crap". Mike254 and Jakob10 can verify this. They all said it too and received the exact same punishment.

No, it's not. Next time you get muted for saying something so trivial make sure to not post anything here.
