Pretty hilarious that you're a self represented "hard arse" but can deal with those examples of perpetual ineptitude and explain it off as my "problem".  Acceptance of mediocrity makes you mediocre.  I've come to expect more of this particular company in the past 10 years, not like what was Air Warrior. Yes I am a hardcase...and I never accept mediocrity...be grateful you don't work for me...perhaps you and your fellow whiners should learn the full meaning of the "serenity prayer".

The one thing all the whiners here fail at is judging the quality of something according to their personal experience and attempt to tell others they should have the same judgment without having done everything possible to rectify those things that fall under their immediate jurisdiction.

I bet this is you when there is a problem with your game:

There are also guys who have middle of the road systems who were running the game just fine until Patch 7, but are frustrated that the game suddenly went from just fine to crappy...

Don't make the mistake of thinking that everything is just fine after Patch 7, some weird stuff started happening.  I point to the Bugs section above as proof.

I don't think anyone is saying that if you are having problems you can't let them be known, but like everything in life there is a right way and a wrong way to go about doing it.  There are several threads running in the tech support forum where issues have been raised in a much more polite and thoughtful manner, in ways that doesn't call the motivations or integrity of HTC into question and they have received a lot more help and suggestions and in some cases are probably a lot closer to a solution than the OP is in this instance.

I agree 100%...  But Bruv was clearly missing a line in his description of the various types of us folks who are having game issues.  There are legitimate complaints and problems with the latest patch.  Nobody is served by assuming that only whiners with old systems are having problems...

Let's put this in context.  It's a game.  I expect things to be worked out and I expect issues to come up.  What I don't think is fair, is for the consumer base to have 7 patches within one month, after the Beta session was so short.....and was seemingly so successful.  What happened in between BETA 2.14 and 2.14 patch 7 is surreal.  Like I've already said, I knew about my own issues, and fixed them to the best of my ability.  That being said, re-downloading a new patch every time I log on, takes up the time I expected to play, since to run well you should always defrag a patch after install.

What is so difficult about a longer BETA and even a Delta rollout, which would impact your base so much less?

Moray is it so inconcievable that the unpredictable happens?  The best thing to do from then on is to just bang thru the issues as expediently as possible.

Of course not, it's completely conceivable.  Of course stuff happens.  But, obviously the BETA and 2.14 were two entirely different animals.... one worked fine (95% or so of users, with limited issues), the other did not.

It's far more conceivable than a free months sub due to the month long trial and error of patches and update headaches.

I very rarely have I heard of such complete and utter bs in my life, they last beta and 2.14 were practically identical.
How in anyway shape or form does you as a customer give you any knowledge of the software industry let alone game development? And even more so what we did and did not change in the last beta?

Some people are born to create, other people are born to be miserable and simply stay at home throwing stones. I play the biggest online game in the world. We get patches every and fixes every week, some times they screw up the release and I can not play that game for over 24 hours because the system is completely down.

The difference between about 50 people testing the beta, and an entire customer base playing is completely beyond your comprehension.

WoW?  Really?  That's a surprise.  Unless I am mistaken and there is an online game larger then WoW...

If you only have time for a minute and a half flight, I can see how dloading a new patch is frustrating as that would definitely cut a big chunk out of your flying session.

It's about 20-30 minutes from getting the "Version out of date" till playing for me.  I install, run virus, cleaner and malware, then Defrag.  Then, I can assure the best possible installation on my system, and take care of many issues others may have that result from poor installations. AH is the third largest program my computer runs, ArcGIS is the largest, if I can get a really clean install it runs much better.  It works for my system.  Cutting on me because I do it right, and know how my system works, is pretty lame.

Considering my average time allowance for flying is around an hour or so, most times there is a patch, I don't fly that session.  At most, I have time for one enjoyable sortie.
