All of my crashes were in Blue, with the Mindanao (sp?) map.  They started on the 10th.

I never crashed while in Orange with the other map that's been in there.

I went into Blue last night, downloaded the updated Beta map, and was able to play for a while without crashing.

i installed a win 7 32bit version on another harddrive, flown the orange for 3 hours, no crash
switched to blue for 2 hours, no crash! started with 64 bit version again, up in the blue, after 20 minutes the irragular graphic failure and 10 sec later i was on the desktop. looks like something with the map and the 64 bit version (dx9 issue?)

I can tell you the problem(s) I am seeing have nothing to do with the terrains.  We are still narrowing it down, but terrains have been eliminated as a potential cause.

Same as this guy except I have Windows 7, 64-bit Ultimate.  I have not thinned out my processes, yet.  I do turn off Automatic Updates in game due to "lost host" on FSO.  I noticed my CPU was running a bit hot, so I took the side cover off and it runs cooler.  Willl be installing a supercooler soon.  I have had no issues crashing except the host thing in FSO 2 times.

Me, too, am fully updated.

Might check out http://www.AskWoody.com/   and his Defcon rating system.

I have had issues a couple of times with a current update causing major problems.

No problems in game.

Last night system wanted to do a Restore when I rebooted, as I was having problems starting up.  I unplugged for 5 minutes and started over with no issues, started OK.  I did not do a Restore.

I wonder if there is an issue with this last batch of updates?

I'm using an OEM install of Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, Superfetch disabled, high performance, and I'm not getting any crashes, aside from the one that I'm suspecting was caused by overheating.

I'm fully updated as well.

This is just getting wierder by the minute.

I had wiped a system and installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit.  While doing all the updates from Microsoft, one of them crashed and the update to Media Center failed.  Tried it a few times and could not get a good install.

After a few days of doing a cross matrix of testing, I wiped it our again.  Went through the exact same procedure, only with no crashes, and the update to Media Center installed fine.

Scratching my head about that one.

When I setup with my new CH Products trio, I noticed Sleep Mode out of game I had to recalibrate in Windows every time before entering Aces High.  With Sleep Mode off, no need to calibrate except the 1st initial time.  My monitor off is set about 10 minutes.  In game monitor stays on.

Yes, I made sure that everything is always running and never shuts off except the monitor. The monitor I set for power off at the 30 minute mark of inactivity.

Actually, I'm wrong, I am not fully updated. I still need the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile for Windows 7 x64 based systems, published 6/22/10, as well as the update that secures SD cards that have memory >32 GB. I only now noticed the update button in the hidden icons. I am up to date on the automatic ones however.

I decided to try out the Miles sound system with a SB X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro (the one with the front panel hardware) along side an HT Omega Striker 7.1 with the X-Fi used for speakers (or headset) and the Line-In for the mic input (48V Phantom powered mic does not work well eith the X-Fi). My first time logging into the host on Mindanao and I got that "Aces High has stopped working" crash message. I have not had that message for months and the last time was due to a failing memory DIMM. Memtest has not found another problem with the memory so would it be a stretch to say its X-Fi related? I have the exact same processes shut down between the two tests except for those directly related to the audio cards themselves (the X-Fi introducing a couple that were not running before). Or is it just the junkie Vista not cooperating with dual audio cards?

Dual audio cards introduce a whole new level of instability in Vista or Windows 7.

Last night when I chose LW BLue I received a new Mindnao.res file. Nither myself or any of my squad mates had a aceshigh.exe urecoverable error.

Skuzzy,

Please Sir what was updated?

Thank You.
