Those 3000gt vr4s are electrical nightmares......stupid stuff like clutch switches that are normally closed and many relays in series for the starter as well as every single interior thing controlled by one small ecu called "etacs".

I swapped the td05s back to some stock turbos I rebuilt and am much happier with it.

Had a td06-20g on the white car but put a stocker on it because I'm building a monster L28et with around 500hp for it.

For some reason, that caprice has become my favorite car and I'm wondering if a LQ9 with 4l80e will still get 24mpg.

hell I don't remember  :headscratch:

think it was a 91-92 4 door.

if I had 400,000 to toss around..... I would own a clone of 71 ragtop hemi cuda...I say clone because a real deal would cost over 2mil :O if you could even buy one. :(

The only reason Cuda's cost so much is because idiots went and drove the price sky high when in reality they're not even worth a quarter of that price.

If I were to get an old muscle car i'd get a '67 Shelby GT500 Eleanor Mustang.

Tried to post a shot of my last car, a '85 300ZX. Unfortunately, the picture was taken on an older phone camera, and looks like garbage. I also had a '87 Caddy Sedan DeVille, all black and a '72 Chevelle.

no....the reason its that high is because its the sickest Muscle car ever made, and they made like 12 IIRC.

mustangs are for people who have no personality......generic trash :P

of course this is my opinion....and the selling of a 71 cuda at 2.2 million  :ahand

My favorite photo that I took of my buddies car... it's quite peppy especially since it now has a kennybell sitting on top of the intake.  :aok

The regular Cuda isn't worth 2.2 million, but if you want an AAR Hemi  then go nuts and drop all that cash on it.

Its the only decent Mopar that was made if you ask me.

You can have your opinion, but you cant discount any facts that the mustangs perform better than anything Chevy or Chrysler has to offer.

I did actually own an Audi quotro (sp?) that thing was pretty badarse.

scorpx......
need for speed sux compared to GT :neener:

the a4 and a6 quattros i've worked on, and driven.......not really much better than the tt. had one customer got a REALLY nice looking 04 a6. i couldn't find a reason for him to not buy it, and told him such. then he asked my opinion of audis. i also told him such, with the last bit being that within the year, you'll spend more on it than you are to buy it. he bought it anyway.

by the end of the summer, he was in getting a new catalytic converter assembly(the second one, as i'd done the other side earlier in the year) and he was talking to me while i worked on it. he'd said that between me, and the shop near his home(he comes about 18 miles to my shop), his car had spent more time in the repair shop than it did in his driveway.

he traded it in on a ford fusion. he loves the fusion. he now understands why i told him not to buy the audi.

ya I would love to get it.....but I am still playing, Just cause2....Skyrim.....AC3....w hen I don't feel like AH that is :D

:D   I knew I would get someone

one of the baddest cars I drove in the real world was the Subaru STi....I was very impressed with the snappyness and handling of that car. :O

got one customer with a 540(whp) wrx. he won't let me drive it.  :cry although he had let me drive his 500hp lx.  got another customer with a forester gt. i've lowered that car for him(his request), and he tuned it with a "canned" tune. it's a fun little car. he encouraged me to "beat on it" in his own words.

i also seem to recall seeing bunches of them, along with their dodge counterparts running around here, burning oil long before any engine should. typical of mitsubishi in my opinion.

well seeings how there is NO such thing as a Hemi AAR Cuda.....

the fastest American Muscle qtr mile car ever put out was a Plymouth Barracuda...9 seconds in 1969

the first car to reach 200 in the qtr mile was a Dodge....ahhm that would be a Challenger......

let me guess you think the Challengers and Cuda's were made for the qtr mile track also......

when you know what you are talking about then we can have a discussion on Muscle cars. ;)

you know me I am a MOPAR guy all the way...the Audi I had was just a beater...it did handle the back roads good, but nothing like my Challenger  :D

man I would love to get behind a 500+ WRX :O   the one I drove was the stock 305 hp IIRC....that was an impressive car...the handling was just insane....I put that sucker to the test. :t

I remember another car a buddy owned it was a long time ago so I am not sure of the year but it was a GTA Trans Am probably a 92, I went with him to get it and drove it back...I remember doing 120 and tacking 3k :O

you would love the Mustang an old friend has...one of those "snakes" he had everything that could be bought for it haha he is a nurse so had lots of spare cash and he put it all in that car.....pretty sure he took it to the track... I don't like fords but that car was damn sweet....and I have to admit to really liking the 69 MK1

although when you get in and start a 1970  440 super commando Superbird......wow.......the guy who redid my Challenger owned one...then sold it for a 71 Hemi 4 speed ragtop clone...... :O even though I love the 71 Cuda...I don't think I would have sold the #s matching Superbird for a clone.... :bhead

I used to dream about having a Forester STi. Too bad they are in such short supply and getting dated.

Most burn oil from the turbos but they have coil issues which will take down two cylinders and clueless people will still drive them, burn through the cats, and dilute down the oil which causes them to burn oil in the cylinders as well as the valve stem seals.

Sometimes, you read something so phenomenally stupid, that you just don't know whether to laugh or just shake your head and walk away.
