I am sorry for bringing this topic back from the dead, but will Aces High be supporting this and compatible hardware?

I suspect they may be using the YEI 3 space sensor for the release versions, does and will AH support such sensors?

this is just a company's dream.  and there has been other companies dreaming this kind of stuff for years.

Its like that hydraulic joystick which looked very good but cost £3000, the guys father is a millionaire and funding his spoilt son until he can get him into politics :old:

When Samsung release holographic projectors for £3.50 i will get buy one.

Track IR works well in aces high :old:

I might add that the sensor tech i'm talking about is used in mocap software.

The sensor itself is the size of a dime, costs bout as much as trackir and has built in usb terminals so you can embedd it basically into anything after soldering the 4 wires on.

Its not that AH should support the oculus vr , but the kind of tech that powers its functionality.

Nthusim software to max the field of view might be more practical.  For me though the TrackIR with the clip is hard to beat once you get use to it and get it setup.  Besides, with TrackIR you end up a hat switch that you can use for things like laps, clipboard and zoom toggle

I have no doubts about it zack, but this sort of stuff is the future.

"TrackIR" systems will evolve towards eye/gaze tracking, while this sort of stuff will take over trackIR's current place because of its simplicity and requiring only 1 piece of equipment.

I just tested this out with one of the proposed sensors they may be using. It works great replacing the mouse for looking and has the ability to track your head position and tilt like TrackIR but just lacks the software support.

I read that they have sent out the developer's kits.  Does AH staff have one?  Are we going to see support for the Oculus Rift system?

Has anyone got a Rift running with AH yet?

My Vuzix 1200VR sucks donkeys nuts - we moved house and unless it's orientated north the tracker acts like it a chimp with a case of parkinsons.

My Rift has gone to 'processing' so I'm expecting it in the next week or so.
