Bizman, your page file usage is larger than I would like to see. I also noted you have overclocked the CPU. Now, on that series you had to increase the FSB bus speed to overclock. If the FSB is not an even divisor of the RAM speed, then you are running out of sync, which may cause some odd things to happen.
If you run CPUID (
www.cpuid.com) and select the "Memory" tab, it will tell you what the FSB to DRAM ratio is. For that CPU, 1:1 is best, but 1:2 is okay as well. You want to avoid odd numbers, like 1:3, or 1:5. I am not crazy about 1:4 either.
For that CPU, I have been setting the FSB to 400, and then adjusting the CPU multiplier down to 8, although you can try 9. It is very stable and quick.
My system was updated last week. I still get micro pauses. DX diag attached.
Micro stutters are a different problem than the one we are trying to nail down. Does it do it in the DX9 version?
You might want to disable that AMD HDMI audio pass through driver. Right now, you have three devices fighting for the audio path.
I am not saying any of the above will correct anything, but it will allow for less resource fighting.
Thank you both, for the information
