Always loved that God Smack drum battle. Its so very well rehearsed, and both good drummers and great timing.

I didn’t do sound, they just needed a body count on local crew, but I hooked up the drum risers  motors at a show. lol

Ha! I also played drums for quite a while in my teen yrs.

All good stuff posted.

There’s still good modern rock out there. But doesn’t seem to be the quantity or famous.the audience seems to be splintered off into other genres. In the day s majority was into the same stuff.

Video killed the radio star.

MTV killed more lasting bands than it created. Most stuff in MTV lasted months or 1 yr. Most forgotten. As soon as I saw ZZ Top go contemporary video with fluffy guitars and choreographed stage shows they lost me. Same with many like J. Geils Band.

I could gone in with more bands . I played bass in my earlier years. First song I learned was Dream Warriors  by Dokken.

I agree 100%. When ZZTop brought in the synthesizers they lost that raw bluesy drive.
