hmmm thats easy enough.
.22 bolt action single shot carbine, with adjustable up to 9X power scope, and silencer. ammo, CCI wax coated solid round nose.
Knife ha . rather make a flint knife than buy an almost impossible to keep sharp p.o.s. they have on market these days, though it'll be good enough for poking holes but so would a fire harden stick, that has been sharpened on a stone.
As an alternate to the gun, I would have the best recurve bow I could find, with hundreds of backup strings packed in wax. thousands of arrows, with various types of points. of course a suitable bag, for caching purposes.
Oh and remb. like they said in Mel Gibson's Patriot movie,
Dog makes a fine meal. ;)   < just had to say it.

A pretty easy question on choice of firearm.  A .223 Rem or .308 Win chambered rifle.(5.56x45mm NATO or 7.62x51mm NATO.  Though not EXACTLY identical can usually be shot interchangably.) A 9mm Ruger or .45 ACP chambered handgun.

The only reason for this would be the high availability of ammunition.  There are many good weapons chambered in these calibers, and ammo should be available for quite a while to come...even if manufacturing completely shuts down.

Curval I'd find Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and go Han Solo on your ass.  Can you say TRENCH RUN!?

After you've been destroyed, being originally sympathetic to the Empire, I'd continue the reign under a somewhat less evil, but still evil enough, under the alias Darth Octavius.  Death Star II is already under construction.

Darth and me would simply go back to the Sith Lords and plot our REVENGE.

x2, fewer arrows as you could always fletch new ones and keep the good ones for backup...about 10 fishing hooks and at least 2 rods...

and a saw, a axe, a bowie knife, some black powder,at least 10 yards of rope, at least 500 of those work while wet camping matches, some flint, a good winter coat, and a tent.maybe a hammer and nails...a good mountain bike with maybe 20 patch repair kits...

which, depending on the type of tent shouldent weigh to much, certainly carriable on panniers

No, 2 cases.

My choice would be a double barrel, external hammered shotgun. Simple in design and easy to hand forge parts for , if need be, in the future. Probably 28 to 30" barrels. In a countryside situation I beleive there would be more of a chance at finding ammo, or at least reloading equipment from country residents for this one more than any.
  Ammo= 1 case 00 buck.

doesn't really matter... any gun will do until I see one I that I  want/need  more.

Probly a mini 14 in 223 for a start tho.   But  I can make anything work.

Might go large bore handgun too...Advantage to a 44mag or 45 pistol/revolver is that you can make ammo out of wheelweights and take powder from about anything...  Also.. any large pistol primer wil work as will salvaged large rifle primers...  probly a single action 44 mag like a Ruger superblackhawk would pop about any primer.

Blackpowder would work for the same reasons... percussion caps are easy to make and so is blackpowder.

Ammo: One large carton of BBs, plus one large carton of flat head pellets.

Dog: Chihauha.

Car:

I'd be the biggest bad bellybutton around, no one would want to **** with me.
