What purpose does cussing really solve? I understand that people get angry and cuss. Heck, I cuss every once in a while, and Ill be the first to admit it. But, ill make darn sure that I dont hit the VOX button while Im doing it. Its very simple: If you're going to cuss, don't hit T or F12.
TrueKill, even if AH is just a game, its not an invitation to swear at people you dont know and probably never will know. I don't know about anyone else, but first impressions are a big thing for me. If I see a new name on the range channel, and the first thing out of their mouth is profanity, Im not going to want to be around that person, much less help them when they ask. Some people, such as daddog, would like to keep their children away from profanity and things of that sort. Yes, they will be exposed to it one way or another, but why would you want to say things like that, especially after being asked to stop? What purpose does it serve to deliberately ignore a person's simple request?
Its these things that drove me away from flying online. People not having any respect for other people. Yes, they do appear just as planes and names, but remember: there are real people sitting on the other side of the screen.
But really, it is a simple thing. If you're going to cuss, don't hit the VOX key. Its a very simple task, and an even simpler request to stop.
So please, don't cuss. There is no purpose to it, no benefits from it, and all it will do is get you disliked and unwanted.
