Ok, here is the situation:

You and one other teamate are heading to a base your team has been trying to capture for a while.  You get the base in view and notice that your entire offense has been clobbered by a multitude of bad red guys.  Your offense is now all upping to form a conga line from your base to the one you are trying to capture, but won't make it to your position for another 5 minutes or so.  You have alt on the bad guys (Say there are 15+), and you are out of ack range.

Do you:

A) Look at the opposing horde and say to yourself: "Gee self, I wonder how many I can kill before I buy it", then dive in and unleash hell.

B) Turn around and fly several miles to meet up with your conga line and all die together.

C) Fly past the horde to vulch people taking off on the runway before someone runs you down or ack kills you.

D) Fly to a nearby base where the odds are more in your favor.

Keep in mind, there are no wrong answers, just curious to see how folks think.  I used to be a B, but now I find that I'm more of an A.... I just die quite a bit more

More often then not my answer is-A -Dive in and see what happens knowing planes are free and I don't really die.

I will on occasion if squadies are following, rev to them and at least try and have a wing to dive into the mess with.

hmm good question. most of the time i am definetly A, But if i am in a plane i am not used to i might go with C or maybe A then C when they gte on my 6. 99% of the time it is A though...

After reading A, I didn't have the patience to read through the rest of the options... So I'll go with A. But it depends on the situation, if I'm with the squad on a fighter sweep, I'd gladly wait for some of them to join me.

when i did play:

E) keep the alt advantage, and cherrypick the more dangerous planes (LA7's, 109's {because they can climb up to me fastest}, hizooka planes becuase 1 ping means no RTB). once there are 4-5 friendlies in the area, then dive in like a bat outta he11, killing everything i can before getting killed / damaged. and use the new planes diving in as bait killing the enemies that try and catch them

more i think about it, it all depends on what i plane i am in. in my dora days, what i said above is what i'd do. if in a spit, id' try and drag some low towards the friendlies comming, hoping for a furball. if a 109 or something that is not uber, well... i kind of lean towards flying toward the incomming friendlies.

I'll take me vs a horde over me in a horde vs one though.

Didn't see the answer I prefer.

I would start with the highest con and try shoot down or force that one lower.  And if I managed that go for the next highest, then rinse and repeat.

Why?

Because I've watched many fly into this stuff low and get vulched and die in this type of situation.   IMHO they aren't doing much to stop such a hord when they come in low but do feed the other sides scores and incorridge the attackers (heard it many times! hey ez kills at such and such there all LOW!) .  True some of the attackers dive low to shoot em but.... Why not try to engage at least co-alt?  So I try to force em low where the others can get at em.  Flying low alt into a hord with alt on you is very nearly suicide IMHO.  But I guess everyone has their idea of what is fun, and it is their $14.95 soooooo...............
