He was not "playing". He was making a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef. In fact, he was filming something for his daughter when he was killed. And that's why you teach them how to look for snakes. I have been tracking these hills since I was 5, and I've never been bit by a snake I didn't pick up. I know how to handle animals though, and knew to wear gloves and boots. Walking around in sandals or flip flops is stupid.

Or did you get it on the second shot and finally kill it on the 5th? LOL

I'm guessing that as he approached it to shoot it, the snake coiled up into it's defensive position.  Then, when it is shot, one bullet would make several holes as it passes thru the coils.

Just my ejumakated guess . . .

It is simply prudent.
I agree. That's why I said animals you don't need to kill, such as nonpoisonous or weak-venomed snakes.

It's something to see.

All it takes is good training. Guess you're too lazy to spend time training a dog, and just prefer cats that kill everything smaller than them, and more than what they can eat. And dogs aren't useless, they are good for protection of property, and of your stock. They will bark at and attack coyotes, and alert you to thieves. But you're a cat person.....

I'm up to 6 attacks from dogs.  3 of the times, the dogs were really trying to kill me.

0 Attacks by cats so far.  But what would I know, I just have cats as pets.

Never been attacked by a dog. They are good animals. Yes, some breeds are not good to have, such as pit bulls, but in general most dogs are loyal. Good thing I don't live in that place, the first dog of mine that got shot, I'd be shooting the guy that shot him. Or beating him to within an inch of his life. Killing a dog or a horse is a serious crime, as is horse thieving. Punishable by hanging. And yes, hanging is still in the books here.
