...I love the weather...,
My God Shifty - you need help.
Scotland - my home country (some of you might have detected a slight hint of an accent on VOX

) - is a fantastic place with a rich history, stunning scenery and (for the most part) friendly people.
The weather truly, truly sucks though. In winter it rains all (and I mean all) the time. It is also dark 18 hours of the day. Its rarely cold enough to snow these days so you you just get wet. A lot. In summer it rains all (and I mean all) the time. In fact the only real difference between summer and winter is that in summer you get 18 hours of daylight to watch the rain fall. Temperatures rarely go over 20C / 68F. Factor in wind chill and your damp clothes and it feels cooler.
On the plus side, the cr@p weather is a perfect excuse to spend more time in the pub. Scotland leads the world in drinking - something we are very proud of
My wife and I also find it hysterical that a slight drizzle in SoCal is referred to as a ''storm" and makes headline news. I nearly fell out my seat the first time I heard my fellow workers debating going home early because it had started to rain.
