not for the GV players,  Im a GV player and if you look back into history there were alot more GV's in WW2 then in this game.

look at all the planes you have to choose from,  what do we have but a few to choose from,
and dont put the ground crue down,  we put  field supps to your fields and bring you ammo when you need it,  give us ground people the TY that we need  in doing what we do.

but having all the options and seletions as the planes have,  or even half the amount would be nice,
I have a book on ww2 gv's  and most of them would be nice to have and to select from just like you would a plane..

said my piece on what i think  so put me down as you all will.   but i think we need more GV's in the game to play with.

more things to fly or drive is all good, i think.
that being said, it is 'aces high' for a reason...the GVs are mostly there to give you more things to play with besides planes.
er..so...i agree with you, new stuff is always fun, but i dont know how likely your request is to being answered.

I can`t ever get the landing gear up on the GVs.

I'm all for more GV's but I'm even more for more versatility in our existing set.
One thing I'd love to see which was brought up in a wishlist thread is the ability for GV's to resupply aircraft, so you can up an M3 loaded with aircraft supplies, spawn so friendlies can land and resupply without having to RTB.
It'll be one risky procedure, since not everyone would have the ability to land safely on some terrains, and the action is a lot closer, so taking off again is not always going to be a given. This kind of scenario also favours the enemy somewhat since someone tailing above an empty craft can wait until he lands and taxies up to the M3 then come in and get 2 for the price of 1 vulching.
I can see squads like the LTARS making good with this idea, sending a couple of supply M3's up close to a furball with an ostwind escort, resupplying fighters and killing potential vulchers in one mission. Kind of like a mobile small airfeild.:aok

So what brought you to "Aces High" ?  Perhaps an advert with lots of plane action?  Maybe a search of flight sims? Which ever, somewhere along the line there was some thought process about aircraft.

I'v never seen an "Aces Low" advert.

Without wishing to deprive HTC of revenue maybe ubertankbattles.com is more up your street.

This "Aces Low" thing puzzles me somewhat.  Why play a flight game and spend 99% of your time in a tank, as some players do.  I mean there's tank games out there....somewhere. Is it bouncy stick settings?  No stick? Gave up trying to learn some ACM? Can't be frame rates what with all them trees etc. I really would like to know why folk come to a flight game and spend infinitely more time on the ground.

I have to agree with the public opinion. I couldn't care less of what happens in the ground. For my knowledge, there are options to choose from if the WWII era ground units (instead of airplanes) give somebody the desired satisfaction - WW2OL for instance is an massive multiplayer online game specifically designed for the ground forces. Instead the flight model of that game sucks Cartmans balls.

Because of the ENY problem, I would instead like to see more early planes to choose from. I'm not so keen to fly a jeep...

I came here to fly but I end up GVing a lot.  It's fun.  The ground battles on the big map have been ferocious at times.

More of everything would be good.

BTW, Jeeps can fly :)

The only reason there are GVs in this game is to give the "pilots" something to bomb! We don't need a bigger variety, from 1000 feet up they all look the same anyway !

Someday when somebody creates a true integrated WWII battle simulation I'll be all over it.  For now, I play Aces High when I want to fly and Day of Defeat or Red Orchestra when I want to be a ground-pounder.

I think GVs in AH have a place, and I enjoy jumping into a M3 to resupply a base or a M16 when a base is getting porked and there's nothing else available.  I've also been in a few rather interesting tank battles and pairing up with a friend in the turret is great fun.  These missions serve as nothing more than a distraction or time to "cool off" in between flights.

I would like to see more GVs, but I have no problem with HTC focusing on improving the flight sim aspects first.
