Combining all Spits into one category is disingenuous to say the least.
Well, I wasn't really trying to capture the subtype by type breakdown, I was hoping Lusche would do that. The point was to establish that the Spit in general has twice the representation in the MA as the Niki. I would do the same thing for any aircraft that has several subtley differentiated subtypes like the 109s, 190s and the un-perked F4U's. The difference between the subtypes is minimal when compared to the difference between any completely different plane. To subdivide them all up is equally, if not more misleading when dicussing overall, general representation.
