i bet palin knows there was no TV in 1929 and that FDR was not president in 1929.

And there are 50 states instead of 57! I swear the Marxists/Liberals will do anything to promote Obama (Dumb) and Biden (Dumber) in their desparation to shove socialism down the throats of the rest of the country. They are why an increasing number of Americans consider being called "liberal" about the most degrading term there is.

when Palin does it she is an ignorant hick unfit to be..   (LOL) VP...

When osama or biden does it.. it is either a loveable gaff or he was "tired".

Oh.. by the way.. there are 57 states.... 57 muslim states.  If you had been raised around or as a muslim it would be easy to make that slip of the tongue..

The questions and answers certainly are important.  What's even more important, however, is what they don't show us.
Imagine that candidates A & B are interviewed for a few hours each.  Both A & B say some pretty bright things, some pretty dumb things and the rest is all over between bright and dumb.  You could air candidate A's brighter answers and make him look pretty smart, and you could air candidate B's dumber answers and make him look pretty stupid.

Wow, you've stepped up your request for details in the past week....yet you still fall short when asked for details behind your one-liners.

What do you mean....falls short? He never even steps up to the plate heh.

That's why these interviews should be done live.  :rock

The truth is, from my perspective at least, that Obama would give Palin such a serious run for her money, veep on veep, that the contest should be ruled invalid.  In fact, as of today Palin should be happy just to grovel in the shadow of Obama.

But the truth is, from my perspective at least, that Palin holds more promise as a potential force for the conservative movement than Obama is today for the entire liberal movement. In my opinion Obama is tapped out.  He has achieved his ultimate nexus.  He will never be much improved over what he is today (already maxed out), where as Palin has a tremendous amount of potential for the future. Just my opinion and I expect thats an easy point to argue over....Yet I would be impressed if four years from now Obama was exceptionally more refined than he is now.

Well said, and Biden is tapped out as well.

I didn't see the interview with Couric. I never watch those shows, well for one I work. I heard her on the Hanity's radio show and well I wasn't totally impressed how she came across. She needs to learn to end a sentence. Having said that I think she is a great choice. You have to remember she took on a very corrupt bunch and won. She is overwhelmingly popular in her state. She has cut back on pork unlike her predecessors. She has been smeared relentlessly and carries on. I don't think I can handle that. Keep in mind too that the strongest steel has gone through the hottest fire.

I think if O'bama had taken all the crap that Palin has taken he would have folded. BTW, did you folks here why the Financial Crisis meeting folded? Because when O'bama came in he said some pretty off the wall stuff and it turned into a shouting match. He blew it!

Let me sum it up for you then.  If you hated Palin and wanted to see her fall flat this was your hour of victory.  If you like the woman this was painful to watch, she was not in the game.  The more important factor though, and the real damaging one is if you are undecided and were not familiar with her at all.  These people are the ones going wtf?  Bad interview and couric is old hat at this stuff, a pro with a political axe to grind.  Palin has a lot of potential and needs to do a lot of maturing in front of a national camera.  Bottom line for me is that this interview was probably one hell of a growing experience for Palin and no doubt one she will learn from, albeit painfully.

Couric..Ax to grind? She's a Republican.

Palin sure seems to be like a typical beauty contestant bimbo. McCain's judgement says it all - a pathetic, political decision and a bad one at that.
And there were actually smart women Republican VP candidates, like Condi Rice. But maybe she was too black for the hicks.

the Left would have POUNCED on Rice like junkyard dogs on a cat that ventured across the fence--we'd have heard nada but how she effed up Iraq until election day. (And she's NOT a very good debater at all--I'm sure she's a lot more intelligent than she comes across on Sunday AM talk shows, but she routinely fails to make the case)

Keep dreamin'. McCain picked her knowing a lot of American women will identify with her more than any presidential candidate ever. Women are not a minority in this country.

Condi Rice would smoke them like a cheap cigar.  Of course, she's had a lot of time to adjust to the non-stop pressure from the leftists and their press lackeys.

Give Palin time.  She was bound to put a foot wrong at some point, the same as Obama and Biden and McCain have done during their careers.

Condi Rice was my first pick too. Unlike the op though I don't find Palin to be "a complete moron". She could hardly have gotten where she is if that were true. Sounds like more panic from the bitter and vitriolic left to me.
