The questions and answers certainly are important. What's even more important, however, is what they don't show us.
Imagine that candidates A & B are interviewed for a few hours each. Both A & B say some pretty bright things, some pretty dumb things and the rest is all over between bright and dumb. You could air candidate A's brighter answers and make him look pretty smart, and you could air candidate B's dumber answers and make him look pretty stupid.
