OK....I'll add my two cents.
1.) Everyone was informed when the Beta Version was offered. A Topic was made on the BBS with stickies telling us how to handle reporting
any issues we may have. If you knew a new version was going to be presented soon it would have been a great idea to d'load the new
version and try it. Along with that you should have posted any issues you might have had in the BBS topic on the Beta release.
2.) Those that did d'load and try the Beta in general found that they had issues. It didn't matter if it was a high end gaming machine or an older PC.
Most had an issue of one kind or another.
3.) Those that design the game can not correct any problems without a.) knowing what problems there are.
b.) having people test and report the problems.
c.) people listing their system and components that are having problems.
d.) running dxdiag and posting or sending to HTC to have a look see
at where the problems may be.
4.) Patience. A good number of us have been here since the start of Aces High and have experienced past upgrades. We do know that any or all issues
will be resolved. In most cases if not all, everyone was able to continue with Aces High.
5.) This is my thought. A great number of us continue or have continued to upgrade our PCs in the last 10+ years.
At some point in time everyone will also have to do the same. An older PC, a laptop etc. will come to a point where
it's abilities will hit the wall. I could give an analogy but I think you get my meaning. It has been my experience that
HTC has done far more then any other Company of this nature to insure that the greater majority of players will be able
to play Aces High with their present equipment.
I have a very high end gaming machine that is new. I had issues. I posted my issues and got responses. I talked with Skuzzy
on the phone and got EMails answered also. HTC is doing more then you could possibly imagine to help everyone. This
issue will come to pass I assure you of that. I also assure you that from past experience that HTC will do everything they
possibly can to correct any issues ALL may have. They have done so in the past. They will do so in the future.
All PCs are different in some ways. No matter if you have a similar system to so and so what do you have on your PC that is
running in the background. Do you have Adaware to rid your system of tracking cookies that could be bogging your system down?
Do you have software that can cleanout old registry entries and clean up your registry? Adaware is free. You can find registry software
like registry mechanic and regcure free to clean up your registry and compress it to run smoother. You may have software booting up
with your system such as Norton Anti-Virus that will just clobber your PCs performance. Are you using Windows firewall? If you have
Windows firewall running disable it...and disable windows automatic updater also. There are many other things of that nature that you
should look at as a possible problems....even task scheduler. HTC doesn't know what you have for software or what you boot up when
you start your PC and then try to play Aces High. There are programs again free that can help you shut down services before playing Aces High
such as FSAutostart or Alacrity. They are also free. Use them. Then try Aces High again.
Have patience!

<phew> sorry for the long post
