I have the original AH film on file but I dont want to embarrass the Tiger driver. I dont think he cheating accusation was mean spirited as much as it was surprise. I have taken out many a tank in the middle of flak like this. The trick is to aim where the tank is going to be and then get one 1 second burst into his weak top armor. Then pull up, often blacked out, and hug terrain maintaining your E and using terrain to cover you from the flak.

So this is not a new tactic. I have been practicing it for awhile.

I have the original film the Tiger driver can ask me for in PM but I wont mention his name in open forum. Its not my style. :salute

Ok, here is my problem with this.

I went offline, tried it and realized that this is not something you actually "do".

The AOA and speed at which you are falling vertically with any combo of flaps and throttle is either going to put you nose first in the dirt, stalled out on the pull, or if performed correctly, attempting to stick and rudder your crosshairs over a moving tank and pulling off a 1-1.5 second burst prior to pulling out with your wheels kicking up mud.

So whats my problem?????

Practice.............. this can only be done with practice, and if I wanted to work, I wouldnt be playing a game  :rock

How do you possibly see them from that alt? When im GV hunting i have to have ground vis on detail range all the way out and still have to be less than 1.5k to see an icon for GV's on the ground.

whats wrong with that film. that's how i been doing it for years, with tigers tho i normally use a Hurri2D

Oh, and I have look forward and Look down mapped on my X-52 in IL2 mode so its very simple to look down right under the airplane. And thats normally when I drop with this tactic. This particular time I was a little off angled and had to use a lot of control to turn back into the Tiger.

Don't know about Bear, but the Hurri IID is capable of killing Tigers that way.

If you initially find your target by icon, flip your bionic eye on(we all have them attatched to our head gear)....that is zoom in on target and follow that way. You may not see the icon but you can see the target.
