Whether or not it was applicable in the MA was NOT the question/argument at hand.

Wow, that's what I get for trying to help you prove a point...nice.

Well you cant see it for the way you wrote it between postings... if you know what I mean...

I edited it.  :D

Yeah, after taking a break and then not flying much once you get back it really makes you look at the game differently.  I look back and think of what an Ahole I have been and how stupid I've acted.  Pretty much comes from immaturity.

I'm not going to comment on every post in this thread calling out Bipolar and I, only the most absurd one, congrats Moray.

First of all, I didn't "castigate" anyone.

Castigate
   1.

      To inflict severe punishment on.
   2.

      To criticize severely.

Does anybody here have any facts on what was said besides blind speculation?  Buzurd wasn't castigated, berated, or anything of that nature.  We told him how timid and weak his flying was on range.  And no, we didn't change sides to talk to him on range, that is just a coincidence.  We change sides regularly and we happened to be in icon/radio range of him which in itself was lucky because we were only on the deck.

Bip and I posted nothing other than the truth of what happened in RESPONSE to the OPs whine thread, a violation of a forum rule.

Film and Screenshot?  Nobody posted a film, quit embellishing your argument with falsehoods.  The reason I posted a screenshot(even though there is nothing wrong with it to begin with) is to show that we weren't embellishing our story(which you seem to feel the need to do by using words like 'castigate' and discussing films that aren't here) in reporting the altitudes of the fight.  It's a way to bring credibility to the story.  They were at 27.7K cruising around 340mph, that's enough E to go to 30k+.

They waited for us to climb to 20k before they acknowledged us.  A complete waste of time for all parties involved.  Then a 3.5 sector 10+ min autopilot chase only to be ended with a HO, another incredible waste of time.  The entire flight was a waste of time and trust me, if buzurd and his wing fly like this, they'll quit out of boredom, they won't need vets to 'chase them from the game'.
Moray, I hear you talk so much crap on 200 about fighting, getting picked, vulching, HOs, and everything else in between.  You have no legs to stand on to judge anybody.
You're not criticizing the OP?  :headscratch:

About 200, must be someone different sir.  I haven't tuned 200 in better than a year. It's a waste of time, and just makes the game worse.  I detuned 200 in September of 2008, at request of my squad.  Besides which this isn't about me.  I enjoy getting a fight, however I can, this is true.  But I also make sure that the people involved know there's nothing by it.  You can tie me into this all you want, that isn't the point.

The point is, you had the option to be the adult and just let it be. The child that posted this, didn't know you, didn't have film, DIDN'T NAME YOU, and can barely type. Yet, you feel threatened, and  you chose to "defend" your opinion of the OP, where you were not named in the initial post.  Apparently you missed that...being the adult.  And, I'm not judging you.  I'm judging your ability to know how to be the grown up.

Also, why would you even waste time trying to climb to 30K?  Let them go.  Their loss.  Muppet pride is obviously at stake, with three 30K ponies about, though.  WHO CARES what happened...  this whole thing seems so absurd as to be just another Muppet thread to say "look at me, look how good I am". The fact you needed to somehow prove something by posting a sceenshot, when you weren't even named, says a lot about you.  Petty.

I'm also quite sure the HO you speak of resulted from you guys turning into the attacker.  It takes two to HO, after all.  Something you once said to me.   :salute

In climbing 5000 ft from 25000 to 30000 the P-51D (IRL) gains approximately 120 miles extra range. In AHII that is reduced by half because of the fuel burn modifier and that climb takes maybe another three or four minutes. A P-51D cannot travel 120 (60) miles in three or four minutes. There is no easier way to show Grizz is exactly wrong.

IIRC, when on climb out to chase some bombers, I noticed me Range and Fuel time was increasing as I climbed.  So it almost seems burning the gas on climbout really doesn't have an effect until you go back down.  And, like I said, Max cruise really helps, too.

Oh, I'll talk smack to people I know all the time.  They know I'm being an Ahole to them because I know 'em.  :devil

WOW.  Anybody with half sense knows that climbing to 30k in Aces High 2 has no applicable use 99.999% of the time.  Aces High isn't about taking 100% fuel with drop tanks and seeing how far you can fly before you run out of fuel which is apparently the point you are trying to prove with all this 120 miles extra range nonsense.  It's about combat.  The setup of the game allows for combat without having to fly far, very different than real life.  You only have to climb for a couple minutes before you are at a reasonable altitude to fight.  How can you sit here and argue that flying at 30k makes sense because it saves fuel?  No wonder I have never run into you in the MA, you're 'saving fuel' up in the strato.  This isn't a charter flight from LA to New York dude, it's a freakin combat game.  For every 1 set of 25k buffs, there are 10 others that are around 10k.  Every point you have made so far as applicable to efficiency in this game is completely absurd.

Yesterday I was cruising  at 30k two times, each time seeing bombers not far below me (20-25k), and escorts above me.

Was some nice fighting up there, Jugs diving on me apparently locking up from compression (which gave me opportunity for a few shots at their buffs)  :aok

Bipolar, Well done..you're my hero.

One of these days people will learn to be considerate of new players.Teach them if they want to learn. Or....just let them play the game how they want without lowering themself to the level of school yard bullies.
Seriously, Bipolar and all others who behave in this selfish and arrogant fashion, you do nothing for the game and you do nothing for your own enjoyment with that kind of attitude. You hurt the game, nothing else. Its pathetic to carry on like this and you and those who behave like this are a cancer on the game.
In case you did not notice you have not convinced very many people to improve their flying with you insulting methods over the years. You have convinced more to just quit. Well done. Big man.

What really makes me laugh is that you may have no idea who you are insulting. Only the other day you stole a kill off my squadmate's 12 oclk and then called him a homosexual when he cleared your 6 oclk.  Then act surprised that I castigate you for it.

Buzurd could be Hitech testing out the gameplay for all you know. Or even a veteran pilot like Vilkas who has just found the game. Does it make you feel big and special to insult everyone? You are not the only one who behaves like this and you are not the worst, I will give you that.

All you acheive is to teach other numbskulls that it's ok to trash talk to anyone just because they do not please you in how they enjoy their money.
MtnMan recently posted a film of BPARKER being a tool, the example you and others set is what makes the noobs like him behave this way.

And all you idiots in this thread jumping all over buzurd are just thoughtless. I repeat, you may have no idea who buzurd is.

Read what I have typed carefully and do not bother replying directly to me because this is a statement of pure fact, not a discussion.

says the manic guy.

Flying at 30k is a great way to save on fuel

Where the heck do you come up with this stuff Chalenge?  :huh

I believe this was the original argument.  No where do I see in the above two quotes anything about validness or how applicable it is in AH.  Now, Grizz, you have changed "it's not applicable in the MA's" to "it's not applicable in AH at all."  It is very applicable if you fly scenarios and FSO.

Grizz, not taking sides, just trying gather up all I can here.
