No self respecting American Pickup Truck owner will look at an imported pickup truck and immediately assume that just because it looks like a truck that it is a truck.

Once I was loading 80lb bags of floor dry into the back of a Toyota Tacoma.  After we finished loaded it the tail gate no longer lined up with the bed sides or latched.  Tossing the floor dry onto the bed warped the whole bed.

Did you look at the Max load it could take before you started?

Unlike america most Utes/pickups in the rest of the world are light to med duty as we don't need to tow a house or move 2 tons of bricks everyday. when we do we hire a flatbed truck that can carry 8-12 tons for that once in a blue-moon job.... or make sure you know someone with one and pay him a carton for the day.

Nearly all of ours are light duty as well.  I think Medium duty starts at F-450 or equivalent.

That's great an ATV will fit in that truck.  American full size short beds just fit an ATV.  That guy might want to invest into a headache rack in case he comes to a sudden stop.

You did not answer the original question. Did you check what the truck could take before you started?

The F-150 is a Class 2, up to 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. In my country you wouldn't be able to drive this, the smallest Ford F-series truck, on a normal driving license. You'd need a truck/lorry license. Everything in America is bigger, it seems.

I miss the good old days when gas was under $1 a gallon and I drove a 5000 pound coupe that legally seated 6.
