As I recall, I started with the F4Us.  That was hard so I went to Spits cause I knew what they were and always liked the look.  I lived a lot longer and started killing a few planes.   Met "Jolly" who showed me the basics of flight, setting up the map, what all the keys do, etc.  Started going through the plane set and and found that the KI84 fit me well.  Its a great plane at the alts I like, for versatility & surviving in a furball.  Its been my main ride ever since but I try and fly everything a bit.  Most planes are good at something and dangerous if flown to that strength.  I bomb a lot in the F6F, P47, & P51.

If you want to mix it up, its hard to beat the Spit XVI.  It is forgiving of pilot choices that other planes won't ket you get away with.  Don't pay any mind to it being "easy".  Choosing to fly or not to fly something because of what others whine about is silly.  Learning ACM, managing your energy state, and accurately assessing your opponents energy state takes a long time.  Someday I might start  :D

Started flying the spits when I had my first taste of AH back in 2005, after many breaks sometimes years long I finally committed to learning to really fly end of 2012, and these days I'm obsessed with the Ta-152

Started out in the 51 and Spits because of their history. Now I fly 109s and 51s and Spits and Navy planes! Also I'm working with the Dora... :airplane:

F4U's.

Can out turn anything faster and is faster than anything it can't turn with.   Good guns,  pretty durable,  and can up from a boat.

The French call that impressionnant.

I started here with the F4u-1D. It was a hard plane to fly back then and I had a hard time keeping it in the sky. Switched over to the NIK. great guns good speed, good turn. It was easier to fly so while I got use to the flight model in this game as apposed to the "other game" it was a fun bird to fight in. Once I got settled in I got back in the Hog for a while and finally switched to the 38.

Started with the FW-190A5 and A8, because it was the plane I flew most in Warbirds and Air Warrior. Lately its been P-38s Japanese aircraft and Jugs.

I started out as a Spittydweeb.  :D

I thought the Spitfire was the most beautiful aircraft ever (and it is pretty), and I flew nothing but spits. Then somewhere along the line I realized the 109 not only looks just as nice, but it also has that "dogfighter" look to it. I quickly found out that the 109 has everything the spitfire has and then more!  :devil

started w/ pony, coz that was my ride in AW - RR. it was a different animal in AH. found Spit 9 and F6F more my style. don't fly much anymore, lost the desire, but still dig blowing toejam up so you can usually find me in a T35-85 or running troops / supplies

I started with the Ki61 because I had played a little bit of Warbirds before coming here and the Ki61 in warbirds is a pretty easy plane to fly. I realised it was a poop load harder to fly in here and went to the LA7 as it was my second ride of choice in Warbirds, that worked out pretty well for me.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

I have always loved airplanes.  When I was in high school, I started to seriously study the different planes from WWII.  I discovered the P38, and that was it!  It has been my favorite plane for years.  I started in Warbirds, and now Aces High, so that I could get a chance to fly my favorite WWII plane.

109F4. Flew Jane's WWII Flight Sim before coming to AH, so I kind of knew what to expect. Tried out all the 109s, found the F4 to be most easy. Jumped around a lot trying all the planes in H2H. Now, I like all the 109s, P38s, Ki-84 and most recently, F6F. Since they're all fun to get slow and low on the deck.

I started with the JugD-11, spent 1 1/2 years in the spitV, then went to the hog-1 for 7years... still fly the 1-hog alot...  but I've been flying in as many as I've ever flown in lately...    Why did I pick the hog-1???  Chicks dig gullwings! :rock
