I know a few other's have suggested the increase to it's toughness, but I personally call for a minimum of 4 set's of lancs to take it out.  On top of that, double-quadruple the amount of auto-puffy and auto-ack as well as add manned guns and manned flak batteries for added defense.

increasing the hardness would be a significant temporary improvement , until a better HQ came along!
The argument that HQ destruction is just another tactic or tool to fight the war with is correct, take down my HQ and you win, I log off and you win,  but how does that help the game?

When the rook HQ died yesterday evening CET, 2 out of 4 logged off from my squad, not instantly, but when we exhausted our fuel.
Yes, it is good strategy if you want to capture, and opponent's player numbers decrease you win, but is it any fun ??

If you close all front bases from fighter and GV operations it's even easier, why would you ever want a challenge when you can win without a fight.

And how the %¤&&/ :furious can Ammo Strat be closer to enemy airfields than to your own airfields ????
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

The answer to the problem is DON'T LOG OFF! Resupply your HQ. This happens to knights all the danged time. We don't log, we RESUP! Why on earth can't people stop whining and just do what is needed. Not only are you abandoning your fellow team mates, you're abandoning your squadmates that have the boys to keep playing. GROW A SET!

We don't do what is needed because this is not our job. It is recreational time and given the choice, I'd choose to read a book over resupplying HQ.

I don't pay $15 a month to fly a goon.... tho I have spent much more time in it recently. I pay to fly planes that have guns that can shoot down goons  :devil I don't mind the run now and then, but when your spending more than half your time flying a goon it is a waste of money. As bozon said, I can buy two paper backs and read for the same money.

If it was used as a tactic it would also soften the blow a bit but it is being use as a griefing tool to do nothing but "being a dick" which I thought was against the main rule of this game. If it was being used as a tactic you would see at least 3-4 bases being captured along the front while those with out dar spend their defensive time resuppling HQ. But you don't.

Increase HQ hardness 10X. Quadruple auto ack. Create 6-8 manable 88 batteries, 4 guns per battery, around HQ. HQ should also be a complex of buildings, not just one target. And FFS, if HQ controls the availability of dar, HQ should HAVE ITS OWN DAR circle.

if there were close spawns or bases to accommodate re supply in a short period of time I would, but I'm not here to haul freight, I'm here to fly fighters and drive tanks , fun stuff!
If I wanted to play a game about delivering freight ( supplies), I'd play Ace Trucking or Fed Ex for gamers!

I thought it was the main point of a pvp fighting game.

When during WW2 did a single formation of bombers wipe out the entire German or Allied radar net?  Just curious.

When during WW2 did they have the precise data of an ENTIRE theater in 30 second(?) increments, friendly AND enemy?  Just curious. :)

Don't get me wrong, I agree that the HQ is just too damn squishy right now and should be beefed up, as well as it's defenses. :aok

To Bozon and Fugi....I understand, in a way, but the game is the game. You either play the game the way it's intended, or go to the DA if all you want to do is a limited part of the game. There's a whole strategic idea to the MA, and while there are many aspects to it, the game(MA) isn't LIMITED to just what you want to do, and frankly, the number of players who want to do the WHOLE thing is far greater than the few who want to do just one or two of them. Frankly, I say play or quit. The game will go on.

Something as important to the game as HQ is it should have radar larger than what we have at the airfield and vehicle bases.  It makes no sense to have the capital of your country unprotected with no radar and very minimal flak batteries some player controlled ones would be nice for the NOE and gv crowd, better yet have a VH at the HQ
