If you do get a dog and it gets hurt during the fiasco, you'll feel pretty awful bout it later. Unless you dont like dogs and its just a defense weapon. If you end up getting a gun, I suggest firing it in the air once. That should freak them out. Dont shoot at them first. Rent some Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry movies and start studying Santa...

Wait a minute. Dont shoot into the air. That may freak them out and they may run but then they can tell the cops anything, like you shot at their heads and missed or something. You were a mad gun toating man and they were defensless.  I guess thats planC to worry about. The post legal issues.

when shooting in the air you also have to worry about that whole GRAVITY thing.   what goes up...... and all that.
seriously when you fire a gun you are responsable for that bullet until it comes to a stop, whereever, and in whatever that may be.  all warning shots should be placed in a tight group in the center of the chest.

Man I wish I could draw.

I'd do a Santa BEFORE advice from the O'Club pic...showing a scholarly average Swedish guy carrying some books...maybe a pocket protector and glasses for effect.

Then in the AFTER advice from the O'Club pic I would have Santa in his tennis gear pictured wearing a flak jacket, a flame thrower strapped to his back, an AK-47 in hand and ready, a ferocious pit bull on a leach strapped to his arm...oh, and his tennis racket rattling along the ground tethered to his web gear..complete with bandoleirs around his chest and a few grenades dangling from his ammo pouches...just in case.

The infuriating thing about this to me is how the inability to arm himself effectively in his "progressive society" has stripped him of the ability to live his life normally.

That's not true, the Somali's have done that.  Or are we going to blame society for everything, what happened to personal responsiblity?

He has plenty of options besides arming himself, and they would probably be more effective to maintaining his current lifestyle.

Does he really want a confrontation with the Somali's?  Is there way he could avoid killing/injuring or being killed/injured.  He's single, he doesn't have a job, what other options does he have?  Is being armed any sort of guarantee that he would be safe from them?

No Thrawn...don't tread on Keiran's right to fill someone with lead.

I certainly don't dare disagree with him.

You simply have NO freedom without the right to bear arms.  Those of us not from the US just have to accept that.

Now, I'm off to ask my government's permission to take a leak.

It's society's fault that cuthroat foreigners are living in his town, spending his money, and threatening to kill him.  His personal responsibility is to defend himself, which society makes more difficult.  Like taxpaying, law-abiding citizens all over the world, he gets F****D.

Exactly, Ra. Society has removed St.Santa's ability to resolve the situation himself, and worse given such a light penalty to the persons responsible they won't think twice about stabbing him. So... if St.Santa tries to defend himself, he runs the risk of getting exactly the same penalty as the people who are threatening him. The police are not (by his admission) going to protect him. Sounds like his hands are tied to me.

And listen to all the stupid things people are telling him to do to protect himself... damn, you guys have him walking around in fricking body armor! In his own neighborhood! That doesn't seem the least bit extreme? Are you so terrified of honest people owning guns that you would dress yourself in armor to keep it from happening? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Yes, if the law won't protect him, he should be allowed to protect himself. God forbid you should walk a mile in his shoes.

If anything it's the fault of the Danish refugee processing system, not the society as a whole.  The act of accepting of refugees itself is an eminently moral act.

And is infact covered under the The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.  Of which your country, mine and Denmark are all currently member states.

Hi Santa,

bad situation :o

I wouldn't recommend to buy an F16 and bomb her house nor would i send these Hell Angels dweebs in the first place.

What about  tryin to contact the somalia comunity if theirs any and find some1 somalian (priest or similar) to talk to her + her 'friends'.

Get some pepperspray, a good door & maybe a doooooooog for selfdefence.

Regards

Blitz

I'm very sorry to hear your problem santa. As MrSid stated, we have those same somalibastards hear in Finland too. No wonder the radical right starts to rise its head..
Anyway, lots of different weapons has been suggested, but the best one is definitely the dog. Besides for self-defence, dog is your best friend. Lots of joy from it. The problem is that dog is not short term solution to your problem, except if you happen to know some adult good nature dobermans (or other suitable dogs) available. Best pet is buy a puppy and train it by yourself.
One thing is sure; no matter how brave somalibastard sees this:

he'll run! Dunno about what religion somalis are, but IIRC atleast muslims afraids dogs, if dog bites them, they are not alloud to go to heaven after death or something (not sure if this is true).
But get yourself a good dog (doberman, rotweiler (SP?) or german shepher), which are legal in Denmark. These dogs has strong nature to defend their master.

If you have same kind of laws that we have in Finland, you can't hurt them! Otherwise you'll go to jail and pay lots of cash to them. That is the reason, I wouldn't carry any weapons except perhaps some gases or electric devices. But if your dog happens to rip an arm off from the somali because he attached, perhaps laws are more approving. Also having a dog in your home will guarantee that none will burgle in without your dog noticing it, that's for sure and I believe the burglar changes his mind about burgling at the same second he sees your dog.

Good luck santa.

Took you guys up on the advice. Now have a *very* protective yellow labrador retriever sitting next to me. Parents are going away over the weekend, so he's all mine.

Poor neighbors get frightened to death though. He barks as soon as anyone enters the door to the corridor outside my apartment. Real loud deep bark.

And I get loads of exercise. He's a big dog for a labrador, very muscular and only way for me to have him in my little place is to try to tire him out :D.

Haven't heard anything from her or other Somalis since last time. Maybe the police picked her up for her 30 day sentence. I hope so, because I doubt those men would do anything without getting some from her.

seriously, all this talk of buying a gun.
if you aren't well trained and are considering this...
either get trained or don't do it.

nothing worse than an armed person with no idea what they're doing.. or worse yet.. a half-baked idea and no respect for the weapon.
