Black Hawk Down

based on the computer game (Counter Strike) the film is a real gem

Much better than that monstosity of lies Pearl Harbor.

4. A Bridge to Far.

Awesome, and definitely well done for it's time.

2. Blackhawk Down.

Great Look at modern warfare's capability even though it was scaled back and not entirely truthful.

1. Saving Private Ryan.

Up until the last portion of the battle for the bridge, it was good. An uncensored look at how horrible a sacrifice our ancestors went through to make this world safe for us.

Honorable Mention.

Where Eagles Dare.

Loved the MI6 mentality and dedication to duty and blondes.

blackhawk(overrated by tom clancy fanboys) down shouldnt even be on the same list as these.

1)Apocalypse Now(redux version of course)
2)Das Boot
3)Glory (wtf only a few mentions of this one)
4)Saving Private Ryan
5)Patton(because george C scott is kewl)

Apocalypse now is WAY overrated. What a boring piece of garbage. I walked out of the theater after being bored to tears for the first 3 hours.

I actually fell asleep when I saw Apacalypse Now in the theater, then foolishly rented the Directors Cut years later and fell asleep again.

Gallipoli {When Gibson hears the whistle and knows he wasn't fast enough to stop the attack}

Sgt York {Gary Cooper wrestles with his concience, 'cause the book is agin killin}

My personal favorite, Little Big Man. {Good guys win a battle in that one.}
