Here's the post I was talking about.  It's the one you whine in about people getting up in arms when you tried to initiate the idea of a RPS.

Quote
We're all (by which I mean the silent majority) fed up with the MA as it currently stands. I know I am. I have tried to bring about initiatives like an RPS - but nooooooooo...... Doofus-Dweebius wants to fly his ride all the time. DD's brother repeatedly tells us that it's his $14.95 an hour, and he'll fly as he sees fit. I've whined about the LA7, and how it is flown almost by default by many dweebs....

It's from this thread.

And this one is from another one of your posts.

Quote
So some traits of the game which have been so annoying in the past should disappear. These include

Fly-till-u-die vulch crap.
Suicide runs to the CV.
Opportunist LA7 goon hunters.
Tiffie smashdown raids, in which guys re-up after suiciding.
Lone wolf cherry pickers – doh! I’ll have to change my ways
Rapid Response LA7 units, who turn up in response to the flashing map, causing me to drop my ord before killing them – highly annoying.

This is the thread.

So while you might not have been the originator of the threads, you clearly advocate ideas that limit what other can fly and even in one case (the 2nd example above) even try to limit how others play.  Granted, the last point (the one about the Rapid Responce La7 force) was in jest but those other points are the ones you wish could be somehow eliminated before HT decided to make the new Mission Theater arena into AH2.

Not a real problem. When Trinity comes up again (cuz that would mean that I am through forkin with it :)), drop me an email and I will try to fix you up.

Errrm, no - again. I did not post a thread about it. Understand the difference between a post, and a thread. A thread is like Apache's thread - Time for an RPS. A post is a comment within the thread. You still cannot locate a THREAD that I've started about wanting an RPS. (Psst, there is one in there somewhere, but the burden of proof is upon you to find it) As for the second one, it was not about the RPS as such. I posted a list of things which we won't see in the AH2 Mission Arena.

Get your facts right, AKAK. It's not up to me to furnish you with things I've said.

Put up, or shut up.

PS. I think it's commendable that a member of the BKs (of all squads) should suggest an RPS! :D Hats off to Apache.

You can split hairs all you want but the fact remains the same.  You claimed something and I called you on it and now you're trying to sing and dance your way out of it.

Here's what you said to Toad,

Quote
That's the biggest BBS turd you've ever crapped! My Gawd, something got lost in the translation! What have I ever suggested that limits other people's choices?

So clearly in my previous post, I showed two examples where you indeed posted something to that effect despite your denials.

Here's another example in this thread about introducing a rolling plane set and then in your other posts in the same thread, you keep on posting on how you don't care if a rolling plane set keeps people from flying what they want.  Think you called them members of the 'Me Generation'.

LOL!  I just called your hand and now let's see your cards...

Hehe akak - yep, that's the one. WTG! You found it. I admire your tenacity. But observe... I did not say that we MUST have an RPS. I have never tried to force MY way upon anyone else. My thread was mere speculation and debate - nothing more. Later on, when I saw the level of opposition to it, I said
Quote
Oh, well **** the RPS then. It was just a suggestion. I thought more people were tired of being gangbanged by uberplanes but it seems I was wrong. I would have thought that more people would have liked AH to be a little more like WW2, but as has been pointed out to me in other threads, AH has got bugger-all to do with the real WW2, and vice-versa.
BTW I feel (personally) that NOT having an RPS limits people's choices. What chance does a Spit1a/Hurr-1/P40/early Zeke have against Spit ix/LA7/109G/P51D ? By NOT having an RPS, those planes are consigned to irrelevance. I also said
Quote
I fully supported the RPS concept on the Dark Side because so many people enjoyed early war! I wasn’t one of them, and had to wait half a ToD for my favourite plane, the F6F, to appear. But that was perfectly OK. It meant that there was something for everyone – early war, mid war, late war. I was always a mid war kind of guy.
Indeed, I hated early war. But other guys loved it, and like Mr. Toad, I was happy because they were happy. I really do not subscribe to this Lazs-style ME-ME-ME type of thinking, and all that "it's my $14.95/month" crap.

Limit the N1K to the 2 week free trial.

Quote
If we allowed the N1K only for those guys on the 2 week trial, then assuming they subscribed to the payment plan, they would be forced to step up to a real man's plane instead of dweebing around in one with training wheels.

I realise that not everyone will appreciate this suggestion. One third will hate it, one third will love it, and one third will be indifferent. But at least that means that two thirds wont hate it.

I'm outta this thread, too much Laz "Me Me Me".

Mr. Toad!  I am grinning from ear to ear at the thought of your having to trawl and reread all my threads! In the one you quote, I think it's safe to say that you're quoting me out of context!  Did you not notice the ;) icon at the end? You did not have one of those when you quoted Yogi Berra, but expected me to realise you were kidding. Sauce for the goose, and all that... Besides, getting free of the N1K and discovering what other planes have to offer should be considered a liberation! :D  Oh, and I did say I knew it would never happen - it was just a fatuous piece of nonsense!

OK, I realise that it will never happen, and on the face of things, it sounds like a fatuous suggestion. But it's perhaps not as silly as it sounds.

I was reading a post in here recently, and Ripsnort made the point that planes like LA7/N1K needed to be included in the plane set so that beginners would stand a chance. I think this makes good sense, because if the learning curve is made to be too steep, some people will become despondent and leave.

The trouble with the N1K and LA7 presence is that experienced pilots sometimes use them to have the best chance of survival. For others it's like a crutch for those who can't be bothered to learn ACM. I'm not the best ACMer, but I know enough to get by in the energy fighters. One of the best things that ever happened to me over on the dark side was when a guy called Stiglr finally persuaded me to let go of the Spit ix and fly a 190 instead. Much harder to fly, but also much more rewarding when learned.

But at least that means that two thirds wont hate it. ;)

I can't figure out why people have problems with them myself.  Maybe they're just too lazy to learn some ACM and some tactics to defeat the La7 and find it easier to whine to HT about how they should be perked or limited in some other fashion.
