" She said ..lets talk Thursday ,so I agreed"

WOW!  Talk about pulling out of a nose dive and having the prop clip the tips of  the bushes.  This soap has been reinjected with a healthy good does of suspense and anticipation! WTG

So.... ?

Will she show up armed with a "come hither" look and in a sheer, see-thru silk blouse ????

   ....

Or...

Will she be a 'toting a big ole can o'mace and have the stations mechanics standing behind her with all of them looking at you as if you're a sack of old dog meat and swinging large cast steel monkey wrenches?

He's young, doing stupid things is part of that experience.

Anyway...two days before? Sure. Personally I have done alot more stupid things than that...

So what is a check ride anyway?

Smells like an ambush to me.

As you get older you won't remember the women you went to bed with quite as well as the ones you "almost" went to bed with.... just my 2 cents.

IMHO
I enjoyed and remember the "did" much better than the almosts

Check ride is a practical test.

A Flight Examiner (fear him as though you would god) pokes and prods your mind to see that you are a safe pilot and can safely operate a flying machine.  If you're within perscribed standards of airspeeds, altitudes, and headings...you pass.  if not...they chop your hands off, remove your tonuge and poke out one eye.

this thread is so funny. I keep coming back to the computer labs to check it.
Mia, I hope your instructor doesn't come back here anymore, or she might see her pic with a hag's head and then you'll have a LOT of xplaining to do lol.
I remember her face vaguely but I haven't seen her here at all this semester.

SOB my LCD monitor took a chit. At a friends house hehe. I only been getting drunk the last couple of weeks. Now its time to clear my mind and get ready for my checkride and ready to meet with my instrucotor. I have a feeling couple of us will go out after my stage check and meeting with my instructor though. I dunno though time will tell now.

The chief flight instructor called me at about 5pm yesterday when I was petty hammered. He told me my final stage check would be thursday at 8am and to plan a crosscountry to Sarasota. I then said ok Ill be there tomorrow at 8. He was like no man thursday, tomorrow is wednesday. I was like oh ya thursday at 8 then laughin. He said the first question will be what day it is:rolleyes:  Anyway after that I called my instructor to tell her about my stage check, she told me to let her know when it was scheduled. hehe So I called her got her voice mail and started sluring leaving a message, then I just started cracking up thinkin about this whole board. So I hung up and called back leaving a "normal" message. Didnt hear from her at all lastnight. This morning she called and woke me up at 9am. She was like Al I got this message on my phone that didnt make any sence and she started lauging. I was still waking up trying to think what I said, then I rembered it was just to tell her about my stage check. So I told her I have my stage check at 8am Thursday. She then said," good luck and after your stage check lets meet at the school to talk about that email you sent me the other night" I asked her if she can just forget about that email. She said no, lets talk Thursday ,so I agreed.
Dont worry guys Ill defiently fill you in about that one

I think this is a good sign as it would have been easer for her to just say ok forget it, my wife says maybe not as woman like to "talk things out". She thinks that she may want to let you down easy and not have you crash and burn but she agrees that its a toe hold and could be a start.

I still think its better then " ok lets just forget it then"

we are staying tuned for the next update...

DUde!!!

Get you check ride done first, then take her out to dinner as a way to say thankyou for her time, and see how it goes from there.  You will have a good Idea by this point as what to do next.

p.s.  I just had one of the female emt's hit on me and she knows my wife very well.  Try dealing with this and working 24hrs and staying in the same apartment (one of our stations) just the 2 of us!!!   And she's very hot, red head, and 6 years older than me.  She is also engaged, and has twin daughters.  Man I can't wait to get to Montana...

Good advice Medic!

It's suave, mature, and innocent enough. A nice "Thank you" dinner.  (Followed by a "Your Welcome" hummer!)

Where was I...oh mature...

Don't take her to a Jack-in-the-box, either.

Thats me!  Oh wait, I'm on wife #2 and I'm not even 30, maybe it's not me....

I never had a problem getting girlfriends, just had a hard time delaing with the mind games.    I think that is why I am glued to this thread, it is so innocent and fun, what I would give to be like that again...

Don't get your hopes up. If it was going to have an optimal ending, we'd all know by now.
Checkride will be with another instructor. She needs to "Talk things out" so you can both deal with it.  It's going to be excruciatingly painful.  Start preparing all your "we're adults, it's natural for these feelings to develop, but my way of dealing with it by getting drunk and doing stupid things was simply not appropriate" speeches.
