In a recent thread I made what I still think was a decent leap of extrapolation to smoke out a particularly nasty weevil which has been griefing AH players for at least three years. Most especially during weekends at the furbal lake by flying a Tempest, with a second account used to dot wingman his victims and with that second account in God Mode so he could determine your altitude and which exact plane you are flying etcetera.
I identified ACM which was unmistakable connecting this player to a set of instructional films presented in Badboy's "Don't Get In a Flap" thread:

Ironically enough a gap in my reasoning was suggested by Midway's insistance that I was wrong, he made me think of one possibility I had not considered: That the pilot in Badboy's thread might not actually be Badboy himself. I thank Midway for his well constructed post, and standing by his conviction.
It has now been explained to me that this is the case, the pilot in Badboy's thread, and THEREFORE the DA lake Tempest griefer is this other pilot and not Badboy.
I have been informed via PM by numerous long-time players that the pilot in those films is actually TequilaChaser, apparently a friend and former squadmate? (<-not sure about that part, a squadron called The Damned? Before my time), and also an official Aces High Trainer.
Therefore, I apologize to Badboy for incorrectly accusing him of being said griefing pilot. I do not know if Badboy is aware of this person's activities or if he approves or not, nor the extent to which he would go to to protect his friend, it is irrelevant.
I have met Badboy in game and he was always civil to me and has of course contributed a great deal of resources to this game's community.
I am sorry Badboy, I apologize.

I hope enough people see this to undo the reputational damage of your false impugnations and disparagements that this outstanding Aces High contributor's character has had to endure. :frown:

for what it's worth, all everyone flys in there are spit 14's/16's,-1C/-4's and other uber rides and fly even more cowardly than in the MA a times. I think some Planes should be slightly perked, but no perks can be earned in the DA.

He could show up, do 5-6 sorties just to scoop up a bag of kills and leave. Irritating bloke, because he would let nobody come near him. :huh

The ominose tempest picktard had a new name every day, thats why you cant remember him. Also he was jumping into private duels even after being asked to stay out.
The other one was called DikTater, and he actually fought in that tempon.

TC is actually a hell of a fun guy while Badboy is known to do exactly what was described. But at the end of the day, who cares? We all get wrapped up in AH world a bit too much for our own good and Shida is about as stand up as they come in my book. :salute Shida.

Hope I am not shooting myself in the leg here, but it reminds me of IrishOne.. The name I see in my head. I am not saying it was, but the letters in the name fit in my head as I remember that name. But I've fought IrishOne a number of times in MA and never thought of it, and he really stands out as a overall nice guy too. Have saluted back and forth after numerous fun fights with him, resulting in chatting on pm's and all in good fun. So I must be remembering wrong.. :noid

The pilot that Shida's referring to has gone by several nicks, he will interfere in matches at the private areas, will wait til two pilots are engaged away from everyone else and the pick them both, after which he get junk started on chat. He won't dual you, just run his mouth. His plan is to just spoil everyone's good time. The only successful way to fight this, I've found is to rally everyone who will, to hunt this player til he leaves, which is usually pretty quickly, though he sometimes comes right back under a different nick.....and he does have an uncanny ability to find a specific play in a group of similar planes and pick the one player......

DikTater was never skilled enough, in my mind, to qualify as being one of the indivduals who were mentioned previously. I've fought him. He's good, but not what I would consider "great" i.e. if I could beat him in a turny fight every once in a blue moon (which, if memory serves, I did on Furball Lake if not in an official 1v1 duel) he can't possibly be "BadBoy" or anyone else at that level.
Then again....who cares who he is? ;)

I strongly urge this community to keep their conjectures to themselves without solid proof. Witch hunts tend to spiral out of control and just diminishes a community (of any kind). If you don't believe me, ask Rebecca Nurse.

I personally have recently (in the last 2 months or so) seen TC flying as himself in the DA Furball Lake. I think he does similar to what I do, which is go in for a couple sorties and "warm up" before the MA or FSO or whatever. He seems to me to have always been one of the gentlemen in there. He will also talk about how there are too many tempon pickers or smack talkers, so it would surprise me greatly if he turned around and did the same thing to grief people.
On the other hand, I understand where Shida is coming from, as he likes to fly in the DA Furball Lake and wants to "clean up" the activity in there. I supposed he has made it his mission to expose this greifer, though I'm not sure that will change anything. This shade flying a tempest and using a second account in god mode to single out and pick players is not a figment of Shida's imagination. I found out after shooting him down (some name I'd never seen before), and he decided he needed vengence and found me (and only me) in a large furball and picked me in his tempie. He then PM'd me to gloat about it, and even admitted during the conversation that he used god mode to find me.
Between this clown and the pilot-formerly-known-as-Bong's incessant verbal abuse of players on 200, the DA Lake probably is in need of some clean up. I just don't know how that is possible, short of having a regular mod in there or simply disabling the ALL and 200 channels entirely.

To the rest of the community: I cannot share the evidence I have now been supplied with to support my original conclusion regarding the connection between the player featuring in the films posted both by Gunzo / Zippy and Badboy. I am not the only member of this community to have seen it, but it cannot be shared without compromising the individual who supplied it, and unless they choose to do so that is where it stops. Thank you to that individual for stepping forth and maintaining my sanity.
I accept that some will now question my credibility because of this last twist marked by the original post in this thread and if you choose to dismiss everything I have said because of this then so be it. I would apologize to TC however he has been shading and griefing in his own way and if you choose to do that, and associate with this person, well then frankly you can expect to have some poo flung at you. I am presently in no mood to apologize to anyone further.
This has been a very conclusive lesson for me about what some people are using the internet, the game of Aces High and its forum for. My opinion of the depths, ingenuity and energy some people put into this kind of activity was woefully short of the mark. Adjustment made. Let this be a lesson to everyone to trust your instincts and not be swayed by any notion of an artificially cultivated 'good character'.
Addressing the forthcoming s**tstorm which is undoubtedly heading in my direction: I have met some fantastic people through this game and forum, funny people, clever people, knowledgeable people and people of admirable character who have not let difficult backgrounds twist them into monstrous shapes. Now THAT is strength of character. I shall henceforth confine my interaction to those people. To the 'others': don't even waste your energy. I now know what you're all about, I will simply ignore you. I have no time nor taste to engage with people who's emotional intelligence and self awareness is so low as to to disqualify you from a 'normal' exchange.
I shall continue to fly Aces High, as nrshida, and I will not be pushed away from my hobby nor this forum. So \/.. basically.
To all my friends in Aces High, and I only now realize just how many I have, I shall henceforth be detuning from channel 200, from Country channel and from '1 All' in the DA. If you want to talk to me either PM me in game or send me a forum message and I will supply you with the information for my channel on the GFC's Ventrillo server. Accusing people publicly and providing no facts in support is equivalent to starting rumours. Your apology was appropriate since you finally admitted you had no supporting hard facts. To then withdraw it and start down your previous public accusation path again is simply wrong and akin to rumour mongerring.
If you have an issue with someone' behaviour, take it up with HTC. If they tell you there is no issue worth taking action on after reviewing your evidence, then deal with it privately. If you insist on public accusations, then show public facts to support it. What you did and are now doing is wrong.

If anyone can prove to me that I'm wrong, and that Zippy/Gunzo is Badboy I will reduce my posting on BBS and ch200 to no more than one per week for the rest of this year. Since you know I like to talk... that is a significant penalty I will submit myself to for being wrong.

I have no idea what Bighorn sent you but I know this. It must have been factual...but don't trust me. Ask your heros. Of the three of them, I only know Grizz and I know for a fact he wouldn't lie about anything for any reason. I will assume you've vetted Bruv and Levi accordingly.

all it has ever taken was for me to speak on local range vox or a tuned vox channel and people instantly knew who I was, regardless of the callsign i was flying under

I've known TC for around 20 years, I used to fly a lot with the damned back in AW many years ago. He has always been a gentleman.
He will help anyone with any problem they may have regarding the game itself or the PC if you are having difficulties running the game.

I will admit to having dueled Bigblue several times, a very very good pilot, that pwns me silly. He is very patient in his fights and drains my energy like pulling the plug on a sink and watches my E slowly go down the drain. Then I'm just a slow piece of low hanging fruit for him to pick out of the sky just above ground level. Very smart and very nice pilot. I could duel him all day, but he'd get bored. :frown:

Accusing people publicly and providing no facts in support is equivalent to starting rumours. Your apology was appropriate since you finally admitted you had no supporting hard facts. To then withdraw it and start down your previous public accusation path again is simply wrong and akin to rumour mongerring.
If you have an issue with someone' behaviour, take it up with HTC. If they tell you there is no issue worth taking action on after reviewing your evidence, then deal with it privately. If you insist on public accusations, then show public facts to support it. What you did and are now doing is wrong.
You know absolutely nothing about the long time reputations of players built over a decade and a half or more. That being the case you should sit quietly on the sidelines.
TC is actually a hell of a fun guy while Badboy is known to do exactly what was described. But at the end of the day, who cares? We all get wrapped up in AH world a bit too much for our own good and Shida is about as stand up as they come in my book. :salute Shida.

I've known for a long time TC flys under shades but who cares? He's even mentioned it on the BBs before. Every time I've fought him it's been fun and have never seen anyhing dubious in it.
While there's no mistaking Badboy's contributions to the game there's also no escaping his in game reputation.

Nah, a good friend sent me a pm back on June 19th.... But I did not see it until last evening..
I have been down with my health since May/June and just logged in to the bbs yesterday after being off the grid ( phones, email, internet, bbs and game since April/may ... I did check the bbs once on June 6th.. but absent since then until yesterday...
I have a bunch of pm's to reply to, along with a bunch of emails..... I just don't want to bother anyone with my health issues.... Most close friends already know I've been dealing with health/physical disability since 2003... No need to burden any of you with it or me... We all got our on real life situations to worry about....
I would have responded/replyed the day all this stuff was first posted if I had been physically able to do so...

I have also known Johnny for almost as long as you Hajo and I also have known him to be a completely honorable person that has always been there to help in all ways. TC may get miffed at me but he has headed a project for years in collecting PC parts from players and redistributing them to upgrade their PC's to assist them in being able to maintain a system for them to be able to fly with a fully functional system. TC doesn't like the limelight and has always done this under the covers, so to speak. He used to devote a lot of his time to training folks but like a lot of us old timers, well we are starting to fall apart. This guy has been living on a fixed income and has been distributing all these parts to folks at his own expense and expects nothing in return. It's frigging sad that his good name (and not good name as Midway would spout about, but a REAL good name), has been smeared in this thread. It is really really sad! It's true that the lunatics are running the asylum. :-(

I've known TC for years as well. He was one of my early mentors in AW. A long time trainer in both AW and AH. Always quick to help guys in need with PC parts. I mean what a monumental POS that guy is! Right? <facetious mode>
I've known Badboy just about as long and also have a large collection of his training guides. Great stuff that had to take some time to put together. And why? Thought he might help some people out making their game experience a little better I guess. Another POS! <facetious mode>

Midway, I've never had any issues with badboy. Just the opposite.
Nonetheless, I have great respect for 2bighorn. If he says something is fishy, I'm inclined to listen. 2bighorn has been a good friend over the years, and I've never known him to go off half-cocked. My thoughts on badboy are simple... One aw sh*t offsets many ata-boys. I would love to believe that badboy hasn't been the problem described... However, there's a lot of people who I respect and appreciate who believe he has been a big problem. You cannot dismiss these complaints, as much as you'd really like to.

But then, there's a very "Strange Case of Dr Badboy and Mr Gunzo". Not that I care much about, I just can't let pitiful little troll like you vituperate an upstanding person as NrShida is. All that in favor of a person who is proven griefer, whether is that Badboy himself, or his alleged son Gunzo. Either way, it's Badboy's responsibility to clean up.
And before you start screaming here again like a spoiled toddler, let's just say that nobody owes you any explanation, or evidence, or anything else for that matter. If and when we do, even when directed at you, it is not because of you nor it is for you. It's for everybody else but you, you got that, little troll?

Midway, I've never had any issues with badboy. Just the opposite.
Nonetheless, I have great respect for 2bighorn. If he says something is fishy, I'm inclined to listen. 2bighorn has been a good friend over the years, and I've never known him to go off half-cocked. My thoughts on badboy are simple... One aw sh*t offsets many ata-boys. I would love to believe that badboy hasn't been the problem described... However, there's a lot of people who I respect and appreciate who believe he has been a big problem. You cannot dismiss these complaints, as much as you'd really like to.
To quote Lincoln when he tried to put on his boots and found a mouse in one.... "I'd say there's something in it."
Then they should go to HTC with proof, like you (and I) have said. I have not seen any proof, don't really care to see any as that is an HTC activity, but what got to me is nrshida (see below) and others going off on someone I've known to be a great contributor and trainer who has helped me, been very nice, and has gone out of his way for me, as well as contributes so much good in his posting history. And then trying to drag TC down, also a trainer, who likely has done so much good for so many.
Hard for me to be silent when I have myself benefited from what Badboy freely gives to me and us. Nrshida simply disappointed me with his severe diatribe and no proof, and I frankly don't know bighorn, other than the one in person interaction I had with him on the TA and then here on BBS. But I do trust your judgement on him and will ignore my past brief negative encounter with him.
