Then you wont ever be using cheat codes. Way to many mods out there, plus you can play most of the factions as well, not just the 3 playable Roman factions.

Funniest cheat code I ever saw was for Age of Empires (original version). One of the codes gave you a baby on a tricycle with a photon gun, hilarious. :D

Ooops, I actually missed this post earlier.

Thats pretty cool. I will have to hurry up and finish my Gaul campaign so I can reinstall the game and that mod. Only need 17 more regions and I own Rome already. Brutii, Julii and Iberian factions are toasted by the Gauls. Macedonia is gone already too, but I didnt have anything to do with that. Scipii have 3 regions left, Greeks have 4 left I think and I currently have 2 of them under siege.

Oh yeah, Carthage was my trusted Ally but they made an unwise descion and attacked me. :cry

Anyone know how to sort your units by type? I haven't been able to figure that out. What I do atm is just remove units from the army, then put them back in the order I want them in. This has annoyed me from day one. heh

I don't think there's a way, and that annoys me to no end as well.

Vudak, you have no idea how much I was hoping to NOT see that answer. :lol

How hard would it have been to code that in? Maybe it was just overlooked?

MundusMagnus also does not overwrite the origiinal campaign map.

I'm going to try the SPQR mod next (Armies that can have up to 4000 troops)... but have to finish this campaign 1st. Or at least smite those darn egyptians.

No way to auto adjust troops. There are however a few shortcuts for when in the battlemap:

Ctrl i: Select all foot-infantry
Ctrl m: All missile troops
Ctrlc: All cavalry troops.

Shift 1-9 will set the formation types.
Press F1 during a battle to see more...

code was "pow". did 50 damage every shot and had similar speed to horse cavalry.

my favorite for AOE I was "icbm" which allowed balistas to fire across the map at buildings.

PS
dont ask me how i remember this.

I forgot all about that one. I liked the Corvette with the rocket launchers and the code that made cannon galleons fly too. :D

With Mundus Magnus I haven't been able to play the vanilla version. Maybe I was trying to play a saved game though. Saved game files dont usually work anymore after you install a mod.

I knew about those shortcuts. I usually group my units with Cntrl + 1-9. Took me forever to realize I had to group my units first, then give formation commands. :rofl

If you want large armies you can go into the game options and select large unit scale I think. I did that once, it kinda sucks because of how much of your population gets used for creating and retraining units.

Now....if that SPQR mod makes it so you can have more than 20 units in one army.....that would be REALLY sweet!

cannon galleons were in AOE: Age of Kings.

there are two corvette codes: whosyourdaddy which has the one with the rocket launcher and then there is whosyourmama which has a white corvette with a chick driving and it has an mg instead of a launcher.

PS
if you are talking about the code in AOE I that allows Juggernaughts to travel overland, it is flyingdutchman

This can be devastating if you arent prepared for it by having large garrisons and AT LEAST 2 20 unit armies(Preferably 3 or 4). Bypassing Rome avoids that agression.

In RTR 6.0 Rome is a single faction, so i have the whole might of the Roman Army throwing itself at me.  I've managed to relieve my single army with 2 full armies and transfered my leader to one of them, he's awesome at the moment, with 80+ horses with 3 silver chevrons.  I just destroyed what i thought was the last of the Roman armies and 2 more have popped up!  Is there no end!  I've not actually attacked Rome itself but it's in sight, it's fully fortified so i may leave it and quickly gobble up some smaller cities.

Carthage have just attacked my only city in North Africa so i'm now fighting 3 factions at the moment, though the Gauls are no longer any real threat.  I'm a  bit miffed that Carthage attacked as they were my largest trading partner, i'm starting to make a loss each turn.  It shouldn't be a problem as i have about 300k in the bank.  Like you i build ecomic buildings first with exception of my first couple of cities for training troops.

My iberian campaign has been great fun so far, it was really tricky at the start being squashed between the gauls and carthage.
