Anytime you give one side a 20K alt head start its bad
Taking a great deal of latitude in statements like this Husky. How can you be so bold as to comment with absolution when you have no idea why some events are designed with air starts, why maps were Specifically built with air starts.
There are no head starts, no advantage, no "unfair" conditions that cannot be overcome by someone with half an ounce of sense. There are Ample examples of players who cannot think around a corner and Need an event to be designed down to the smallest detail, but I'm not interested in playing the events for them, so you're just going to have to figure out a way to deal with the hardships.
I'd be the first one to enjoy an event where I had to Launch and there was an airstart right off the coast of say Hawaii, and I had to scramble to get out of the way of, say, some pesky Japanese Zekes or something. Sound too complicated? Don't join Pearl when the terrain finally completes. Really, Don't, because you won't like it and airstarts in that event are liable to occur.
Downfall "could" have simulated the long flight the US Iron would have had to make by launching them from a land base, making them fly across the map 3 times before they headed for Japan, but AirStarts sure did help to eliminate That added 5 hours to the event.
There is a reason for every air start in every event that had them, but I'm not going to explain it to you, your going to have to crack open your brain and think it through yourself.
Anytime?
Airstarts = Bad for Scenarios?
Please, I enjoy it when players contribute to event discussions, but for goodness sakes at least bring something to the discussion instead of half thought out opinions, please tell me you are worth more than that in a discussion.
