Scotland, Ireland, or possibly Harlan County, Kentucky. Just about the same climate, same geography, same dialog. And of course, many of the same jobs as around here.

When gramps got real drunk he would start to speak scottish jibberish.

That was a good time to ask him about the "old country"...

What mostly came out was... "Twas a cold miserable rock laddie"

When I visited there I had to agree.   Plus... the people seemed beaten down.. not hardy individuals like I had read about... socialists.

as for colorado.... they have snow.

I hate snow.  I hate ski studmuffins and boutiques.    I don't even like to see snow in a movie... don't enjoy movies with snow in em.

no wonder you want "art" sponsored.

Have you been to colorado?   If not I guess we are even cause I never seen the movie (brokeback) that you are refering to.   Were they skiers?

i dont see why not.

which kind of art would depend upon classification.

in this case i would file it in the depictions of "outwardly macho/latent homo-erotic gunslingers" category.

took you like 20 minutes and a cup of coffee to send that back didnt it?

must be all that commie railing that's got you worn thin.

or maybe you are just a tired addict who has replaced one black and white addiction with another.

who knows.

being called good at labels by you must be some sort of compiment tho so i'll thank ye and continue onwards, confident in mine own self regardless.

A big patch of land somewhere in New Mexico, where I'd build a nice big estate, one piece per decade.
The spaceport will be nearby by for whenever it's time to get off this rock and relocate to greener pastures.

storch, is that up in spring country?

When we drove to Fort Myers for vacation, we took a side trip through the area northwest of Orlando OTW back to Texas. I never knew before that Florida had spring country. We stopped at Blue Spring, which impressed me enough that I looked around a while. That's a seriously nice area up there.
