It's OLD news. This is September, it happened in June. It's another sad "scandal", among a group of people known for that sort of thing. It really isn't news at all.

cuz i keep hearing about these people and these are the ones who are supposed to be morally outraged at the "liberal" agenda that is going to turn all of our kids into homos.

hm.

maybe the fact that he announced his resignation....which is what the article is about...was already talked about in advance in june and i just missed it.

by group of people that are known for that type of thing...do you mean the party of upstanding republican christians?

By the way, the Republicans, as a general rule, tend to run the perverts out. Unlike the other party that seems to embrace perverts, unless the perverts are Republicans. Go figure. And you knew EXACTLY what I meant when I said "a group of people generally known for that sort of thing". And it was Congress. But then, like I said, you knew that.

o. so you were saying that the democrats generally have more problems with sex scandals or that they don't get caught or that all politicians regardless of party have a predisposition towards perversion.

this is what i have a hard time grasping...parties in general to start with, but beyond this, the ability for a member of one party to shame one on the other side while excusing a member of their own.

its a bit of a contradiction to say that one party is good at weeding itself while stating that congress itself is corrupt....so which is it that has gone astray and or immoral?  is it politicians or is it democrats?

Craig... resigned.

Barney Frank....representing Massachusetts's 4th congressional district since 1981.

Of course, Craig did tap his foot in a restroom stall while Frank only cohabitated with a known male prostitute who ran an escort service out of Frank's home.

Neither of them did anything wrong (illegal) as far as I'm concerned. Frank is an admitted homosexual. Craig is a hypocrite. If he had propositioned a woman in the airport we would have heard nothing about it.

Poor g*y was probably just knocking on the toilet wall to borrow some toilet paper when the thought police caught him for morally suspicious activity.

i do know one thing.

if somebody accused me of something that i was not guilty of...i would be raising hell like nobodies business.

if somebody tried to entrap me to expose what was otherwise my own personal business, i would burn the place down before i would let them get away with it.

i would be bringing up the constitutional issues.  i would be asking these questions until i lost my voice.

Maybe if Craig would just have admited he was a homosexual, he wouldn't have had to resign. Is that what you're saying?

So, I guess we need to get all hypocrites out of elected office immediately.

Of course...then there wouldn't be anyone at all in elected office but... hey...

There's creeps and losers in every party.

Just as it would be entirely inappropriate to take a democrat who's a loser and painting the entire democratic party with that same brush, it's wrong to make the assumption that because this guy is a total creep that all republicans are.

Sadly, it's such a fantastic dig on the part of both parties when one of those within their ranks shows what a putz they are.  Doesn't make it right though.

**edit
Doesn't matter which party they're in: if their personal life is in total turmoil as a result of their own actions, they don't need to represent those within their own communities.
