Speaking of which...I've been wondering why you didn't jump all over joining the DFC Pick Yer Ride event?  Some pretty good sticks entered (myself being an obvious exception)...and you could fly your mighty Spit VIII without fear of any riddicule whatsoever!  I would have thought you, being that you can "pwn 95% of players" in this game would have been literally jumping at the chance.

Rules are rules and officials are the final arbiters.  Strength of character is required to follow the rules and ensure fair gameplay and sportsmanship, as in any sporting tournament.  Since a final decision was made and you had opportunity to file a protest, the rightful winner was chosen. TOC and KOTH being very competitive have to rely on rules and someone as wise as fuzeman to make sure everything is fair.

Having beaten you many times myself in fair co-E 1 v 1's and having NEVER beaten Bruv in a fair 1 v 1, EVER, after many many tries, I am certain the better pilot won that TOC, speaking as objectively as I can.  We all know how awesome good the only triple TOC winner is at fighting 1 v 1s and you also know whom the better pilot is. He won.

Being a sore loser is a moment(s) of weakness, and I forgive you yours. I have had moment(s) myself as many know.

Strength of character is required to overcome said moment(s).  

Debrody has said strength, but it will take time, imho.

Losing a championship tournament can be tough. I've seen many players on the losing end even in tears, ex a college football championship losing team.  But, in time, you'll see it's just a game and not nearly as important as family, friends, and the next contest/challenge.

Aside from all the blah, blah, blah, the biggest problem I see with this thread is the idea that being a good dogfighter equates to being a positive part of the game and deserving of something special from HTC.  Bruv might be a great asset to the game, I don't know him, must be a time zone thing.  Only ran into him once that I remember and my usual tactics against a Spit VIII resulted in me in the tower wondering what happened.  No doubt about his and other TOC winners ability, but when I think of the folks in game that make it a positive experience, many of them are average and some below.  When I think of the folks that are often not a positive part of the game, there are certainly some very skilled killers on that list.

This is way closer to a local softball league than Pro anything.  The 10 guys that can put it over the fence are less benefit than the 500 folks that stink but pay all the bills and have a good time.  Not that those 10 guys shouldn't be recognized for their skill and CAN be a great source for teaching the game, its just that the most beneficial and deserving player may very well be the guy with poor skills but he is there helping people, keeping it fun, running the grill at the season end BBQ and staying after to clean up.
