Title: Fester
Post by: SD67 on June 19, 2013, 07:18:43 AM
I've taken a few days before I responded, mostly because if I responded sooner it would have been directly to HTC, something I have never done and won't do.
I did see your post, and I also saw your edit, which after the original post was even more deplorable.
Your original post
SD67 with someone who harps on everything anyone does that you dislike so relentlessly I'm sure suicide was involved.

piss off.

Which was bad enough but to replace it with
SD67 with someone who harps on everything anyone does that you dislike so relentlessly... nah too easy target

piss off.

Speak volumes for your character.
Up until you did that stupid move of bailing on your own in mid war for a freaking star I had no problem with you, I have no issue with the muppets as a squad and I have had nothing but respect for your ability and contribution to the game.
I want you to see something.
This was my wife Sarah, she flew in the game with me in my squad and she also flew as a free agent, she was trained by Lew and until the task of caring for the children became too much she was a regular appearance.
This was her in October 2011 Days after the cardiac arrest that took her life.
That baby beside her during contact therapy while she was in her coma is only 6 weeks old.
I stayed by her side from the moment she collapsed at home after feeding that little girl giving her CPR until the day they took her off life support.
Since then I've been somewhat busy, I've made sporadic appearances as time has permitted but by and large my time is spoken for.
These are my three kids now, taken just a few days ago. The little girl in the red jumper is the same girl in the above picture.
I fail to see why or how you could possibly think of that as an easy target.
Every time you remember those words I want you to see this in your mind.
This is your "easy target".
I truly hope you never have to experience what I have.
I also hope you can take away from this some cause to reflect and think about the effect of your words.

You didn't need to do this Pete,  but I know why you did.   You have held strong to even today, much better than I could have.   I value our friendship and phone calls.   When I saw Fester post the original one I just shook my head.  We will see you soon in Oz.  Count on it.

  :salute Pete and RIP Sarah.

Sorry for your loss SD and to you and your three beautiful children wishing you all the very best.

As for BBS think we have discussed this before about 5 years ago privately, unfortunately the egos and bullying has only become worse and sorry to see you have been on the receiving end of such a thoughtless and callous remark.

Always held the upmost respect towards you and entire 9GIAP from early days.  :salute

SD, Just reading your post has humbled me. You're an amazing man, very humble and you have the strength that words cant describe. Im so so sorry for the loss of your wife.  :salute Sir Your strength and ability to be humble when morons poke sticks is inspirational.

And Scott (Fester) You're a real piece of work. You disgust me.

Festers words in that post are inexcusable, dumb, thoughtless, should I go on.

Of all the things I have seen on these forums, that comment of his has got to take the cake.

I sincerely hope HTC take action.  Again, it is inexcusable.

RIP Sarah SD <S>

I've come to the conclusion that people can only piss you off if you let them.

I've also noticed that only those that really know you can hurt you with words and then, it can only really hurt if it is true, in which case there is no real reason to be hurt in the first place.

People say crappy things to each other all the time, this is neither the first nor the last.

Sorry about your wife.   Raising kids alone is tough.  Best of luck :salute

I don't know you SD67 but you have my condolences and I'm sorry you had to see a comment like that......and those are some beautiful kids ya have there. We need more like you in the game and less of these Fester types.   <SALUTE> sir

Sorry about your loss SD. One of the few places you can seek some mental relaxation may have been this game. It is a shame sweethearts life fester don't really think before they post that there are real people with real lives on the other end.

An organization is a sum of its people. So what does it take to PNG someone besides insulting htc?

Fester Witch Hunt Thread #2.

This is no witch hunt.   Several us have known this for a couple of years and let the man grieve.   Pete is not one for pity and is not one topost with vitriol.   He is someone who is strong on his own merit and appreciates having good friends to help him ease the pain felt everyday.  He is a widowed father of three and has done an outstanding job of helping them cope.

Kappa.   All Pete is saying that sometimes not knowing can come back to bite you in the arse.

But I think this community should take heed and maybe start to appreciate the game for what it can be and shelve the ego's.   Wipe the slate clean and try to build this community back up.

Agreed. I think sometimes we take the ego and bravado of being a virtual fighter pilot (an element that's
existed since the dawn of online fighter combat multi-player games) and transfer it to forum discussions
that have little or nothing to do with such. Of course, there will always be personality differences (who
knows how many in the community may have personality disorders) but nobody should ever take
it this far. I definitely want to believe that it's not a matter of true intent and was simply a matter of hurt
feelings being taken too far. This will, undoubtedly, happen again. I hope that all involved may be capable
of taking the steps necessary to bury this particular incident. It will take the strength to forgive as well as
the strength to exhibit genuine regret.

Kappa,

No community survives long being dominated by a minority who claim immunity from their own words and actions due to self anointed superiority to the community's general body. Even if it's an online game community with the tired old excuse used as a shield of, " grow a pair it's only a game". Fester is the same human being as the rest of us with a specific superior talent for this game. Not a specific superior man over any of us regardless of his personal condition.

This post shows that good men have their limits to tolerating abuse at the hands of groups and individuals who vote themselves superior and act that out upon the rest in their conversations. A PM would have been ignored to keep the darkness enfolding us to this community forum tyranny by minority. This post is the light of day supported by the good members of this audience who have finally reached even their limits.

Being a god in the arenas does not grant you immunity from the requirements of being a good person in the forums. The "Lie" is that the dismissive attitude and scorn for the community as lesser beings is an act. Whom ever is expressing it or enabling it.

Forum tyranny? I hi-lite that portion of your post cause it does work both ways..  His post was obviously self seen as over the line and he self edited the post.. The edit itself is evidence he knew it was a mistake.

Simple fact that the OP didn't use the PM system to handle this means he is so desperate to burn fester that he throws his family out for pity from the community.. Which I find just as deplorable as fester's original comment.. It's amazing to me that one would use the memory of their past on family for such..

I mean really.. A lot of folks here have lost their mothers and been on the receiving end of 'mom jokes' (which to them were not funny at all), but I have yet to see someone posting pics of the deceased mother to burn someone.. for pity's sake..

obviously he realized he'd crossed the line, else he wouldn't have retracted the offending part of the post.  That fact alone doesn't imply any sort of remorse--had he simply expressed that in a pm to SD, this thread likely wouldn't exist. Kappa,

These men have voiced their collective opinion that enough is enough after many years.

Argue with them, not me, to the obvious of what they chose to ignore all of this time.

Even you are enabling Fester down to this wire at the end. Are you going to still attempt to peer shame the OP, or members of this audience by yourself hoping we will back down from you and Fester because you are a "what??"? That is the crux of this tyranny by minority none of us voted for but, have tolerated as the status quo or (stare decisis) until now.

Being a superior player of this game does not grant you superior rights and immunities to anyone in this forum community as a person. The outcomes in the DA and arenas do not supersede the forum of ideas and basic human dignity because you can piu, piu, piu better than your peers.

What does that say for a person who would continue to try and force that illusion upon men who have now rejected the insanity of the notion?

I'm not enabling fester at all.. I've already called the comment what it was.. and I'm calling this thread for what it is..

But to sum up your point.. Fester is a really good player and has been the sole tyrannical member of this bbs spouting exaggerated comments to other members for years because he felt abit omniscient?? And now its his time to be brought down? him alone?  Thats not a witch hunt at all..

SD67,

My condolences for your wife and my admiration and respect for your resolve to make the best life you can for your children.

I apologize for hijacking your post. You were peer harassed by Kappa as happens in any POST to this forum since I can remember about the personal misconduct and actions of a muppet. In general the muppets have never been as good in the realm of equal men and ideas sans their joysticks and piu, piu, piu. Instead they have benefited from a well known  strategy of leveraging their historic reputation, enabling fans, and group peer pressure to suppress ideas that show them in a poor light, or they cannot honestly defend. A very well described tactic outlined by Saul Alinsky in his "Rules for Radicles". I doub't any of them has ever read it. In it's simplicity it's basic human nature related to peer groups and protecting their collective identity.

In this case there is no defense but, instead of Fester defending himself, Kappa is here defending the status quo. As you can see a tipping point has been reached in the minds of good tolerant men where the "reasonable person" construct from common law is applied to this conversation. They no longer believe Fester's defense is in any nature reasonable or they would not be voicing such candid opinions towards two of this game's highest Icons. Thus the strange damage control effort.

In the real world I suspect most of our daddy's upon hearing we had made a comment like targeted to yourself, with no public apology along with changing the transcript. Would have held court with our kesters behind the wood shed with a poleaxe. Not marched over to the innocent man's home and attacked him for telling the truth.

gezus chrimmany.. peer harassment is it now??

if I was defending fester I'd say something like the guy deserved the comment.. don't believe I did that..

geezz bustr, only point I was trying to make was a really strange way the guy went about attempting to set fester straight in a public forum.. if all he was after was an apology I'm pretty certain he would have got one thru a pm.. but hey, everyone has an axe and some just grind them differently.

don't know much about a status quo as I usually keep to me and mine.. really don't care how it changes if it does..

You really don't understand do you? Imagine if your wife was killed and I said "It must of been suicide, piss off" - then again you wouldn't know. Everyone has a valid points, and its not a witch hunt by all means. Then again one apology in PM and everything blows over since its the interweb.

The guy made a horrendous mistake but I'm with Kappa on this and not because Fester is a squadmate....it's because he made a poor, poor judgement call.  Even after retracting it, the gang bang that is AH BBS went into full spin cycle.

Fester and each of you should be embarrassed.  Fester,  because it was a pathetic, personal shot at someone and you all because you involved yourself in a mob knowing he didn't want that to stay public.

Yes, but there is one sin greater than all. And in my book, He went there. Bringing a mans deceased wife in to it? Come on change.

And kappa, Even if SD was to PM FesTARD, He most likely wouldve gotten FesTARDs famous one liner "fk off" Like he does everyone else. The guy is garbage.

I'm not disagreeing...in fact I do agree and so does Kappa.  So that's a 12 on a 10 scale of oxygen-thieving....I got that.  What I won't ever get is how most of the "perfect folks" in this thread think they're gonna change him.  And, personally....this is my own opinion, to post what the OP did was completely and totally unnecessary to make his point.  I have a family as well and there is no way, under no circumstance I would post those...but that's me.

EDIT:  because it could appear dangerously close to using my family in the manner that Kappa suggested.  Anything even resembling that in a public forum is totally unnecessary and you know it.  It could be construed as firing for effect by leveraging your family when there are 17 other ways to make your point effectively.

If that makes you feel better about yourself have at it.

SD, I don't know how I would go on. All the best to you and your girls in life.

Am I the only one that thinks it shouldn't have been typed in either direction?

SD

I wish I could communicate, sound, be as straight forward and eloquent as Bustr...but... I cannot.... he does have it exactly right tho!

I would agree that it is time for the BBS bully's to split, take off , vamouse ...look at the other thread....most of the griefers are wannabe, ex, or current Muppets! Other squads have done the same over the years. It dawned on me some thing Slash said in another thread. "The BK's should bring Grits back" as if they only have a few members with alot of shades. I think its the same with the Muppets.

We have had groups like these since early AW. I would name some of them but it would just start another argument. There will be somebody that comes in here and wants to dance around with me about it.

Still to this day ...something that happened and/or was said 17 years ago, still bothers me today. Because I tried standing up to some these "elite" guys/groups <jokers>, some still around in the this and the "Got Silk" thread, their quantity in numbers silenced my voice, I am unable to use my good name here on this forum.  QUAH!!!!

Did I rebell correctly?... probable not....  and I am guilty of doing it twice.....Skuzzy decided to squelch me after a miriad of report messages came in I'm sure.....but... you are correct about how people take some of the things said here and how it hits ya.... believe me I never said anything as bad as we've seen currently.... to lose my good name. Double Standard? Yep!

Its been that way for years, you need some thick skin.

As you can see Fester hasn't gotten a thing out of it.

Just like Changeup and Kappa are complete hypocrite's for posting anything in this thread other than an appology for their mate.... We will probable see another heart felt appology from Fester as it gets thicker.

It is exactly the way Bustr describes.... Forum "elite's" ganging up like taggers.... some of the "elite's" take it way to far and personal!

Sorry for the Hijack

They are great...they're true.  Your fake-left, go-right antics are miserable.  Those are for Midway.  You believe laughing at a guy getting gang banged when he's not present to defend himself is ok....those are your words, not mine.  I think it's punky.   But after thinking about it, we weren't ganging one person....we're weren't even ganging two people.  We were about dead even on the number of people trashing Mark so you weren't even close in your analogy.  That just makes you a guy who remembers stuff wrong, lol.

How Mark is doing now is completely irrelevant to that thread and the bangers in it.  Yes, Mark is doing fine now....that's what happens when your present to defend yourself and precisely why we did it for him in his absence.  It was never a gang bang....go back and read it.

Step away from the keyboard, forgot about BBS,200 and your online persona (ego) for one moment and think about what the start of this thread was actually about.

OK I was trying to stay out of this but  there is a lot of ignorance in here. grow the f up will you. Being a tough guy in the net is not the same as being a  tough guy in real life. Personally internet toughies are to be pitied, and marginalized as the small weak individuals they are maybe it is high time Skuzzy brought the stick out he's given certain people plenty of rope to hang themselves with, in the mean time how bout we all step up and try to control these spazzes when they get outta line don't take their troll bait but certainly the offenders and their sycophants  need a reality check.

It is truly amazing; perhaps heart wrenchingly depressing rather, just how small and petty so many people are capable of becoming when they are able to avoid the consequences of social norms, especially of that simple civil construct we have generally labeled courtesy. The selfishness that most civil societies have deemed as unacceptable behavior is unleashed with such ease, especially by those sadists who are unable to feel good about themselves through normal behavior and insist upon bullying at every opportunity they can safely do so without consequence in order to have an enjoyable time. If you are called out by the social norm and you fail to find any shame in your behavior, you need help. If you are unable to determine if you should be seeking help, go to a local gathering of people and repeat your previous encounter with them. If nothing of consequence happens, by all means carry on. I doubt many in this and previous, threads would find it completely free of consequence. Our remonstrations only fall upon deaf ears because it lacks any ability to enforce social norms in this environment. A shame. A crying shame. I know I have been ashamed of my online unaltered, online behavior before, and I try to respect the reason why and maintain civility. This, the forums, and ch 200 in game, are consistently brought to light as the worst parts of this game, at least it is to me and others whose opinions I have read or heard and respect in the slightest. Why bother coming? Why not? Given the rules I have the reasonable expectation to a civil forum, you do not have the reasonable expectation of the reverse. It is nice to see when people stand up to the bullies. It is a shame our stamina is not up to the level of the troll and griefer though, they have a hardwired itch to scratch and are built to go the distance and then some. Shame it works out that way, but good on those standing up for what is right, and shame on those who lack the ability to understand why, or simply accept or admit, they may be in the wrong. A pity we all don't have the drive to shout you down more than you have the ability to shout everyone else down. Online, that is. To do so usually requires way more effort for the lack of any form of enjoyment in such juvenile pursuits. Such small, so very small, human beings you are.

people use the weapons available to them often in the name of righteousness.

I'd recommend logging into the game and finding me in game and shooting my plane down to them.

but they are neither an active player and likely not even an active paying subscriber to the game so this is the attack of choice.
Fester, you're suggesting that he does something that has no effect? What you said, whether he should have said anything about his wife or not, was heinous. It really does show what type of person you are, deep down under. There should not have been a private apology, where should have been a very public apology.

Threats of violence should never make someone apologise or feel more apologetic, because then it just becomes a cloak for further activity.

With your actions uptown and apology, you have basically sealed the bond of dischord between you and Cit in this manner because he can simply say "Well sometimes my temper gets the best of me" and you will understand and excuse it because he did it for you.

It would of been better if you had stood with your anger and threats then not, because then you and other people would see you for who you really are and would be punished accordingly and people would continue to see Cit for he really is as well. It is regrettable that such things are black/white illegal where are you, because threats are only problems if they are substanciable. If its just some randomer spewing off steam, like you did; and not the OP saying it: Then it is mostly just hot air.

I wish to add that the internet is a challenge for us to be honest with ourselves; when we clearly don't have to be.

I don't agree with this at all, some people are much too intelligent for the social norms and need to learn to moderate themselves instead of being forcefully moderated. That is why they have to see themselves as they truly are, and only they can do it.

This is why mercy and forgiveness are the only way to true peace, a forced peace is violence in the guise of peace.

Well I don't know man, you may be right. All I know is sometimes we say things out of anger, pride or hurt feelings that we don't really mean. I'm not perfect and don't expect others to be. SD - well put.
A measured response to one of the most vitriolic posts from one of the most sociopathic minds ever to touch a keyboard.
For you, only moral strength exudes from your post.
As for the subject player pity, loathing, revulsion and moreover heartfelt thanks that he is not in the same continent let alone the same country.

Or maybe Fester falls into the realm of "celebrity" so he can run amok and not be held accountable because he has superior hand/eye co-ordination to 99% of the rest of us.
So in the bell curve of hand/eye co-ordination he's way out on the right, though it would appear in the graph of "usually acceptable behavior" he is so far left that he lives next door to the y axis.
Therefore the other 99.9% front up with $15 every month and give reciprocal respect (for the most part) whilst this guy can rip into someone he has never met and mock the passing of another mans life partner and mother of his children.
If you ever have cause to wonder why this simulation is not enjoyed by a larger group of enthusiasts, wonder no more and why this BBS is in the state it is that is answered as well.
Combine the Midway posts to the other vitriol that spews out and add a touch of "untouchable status" for a sure fire success.
But if you're still stuck for a wothwhile comment you can just click a little face rather than add.
I interact with a lot of funny, articulate and engaging people in AH. But you have to cut your hands on a lot of oyster shells before you can dig out a pearl.

Well, you pay your respects in whatever way you're comfortable with... and I won't call you mean names either.

Moments of silence allow for contemplation and silent prayer to reflect on SD's tragedy, his strength, and Fester's inexcusably hurtful words to him.  It is my way of honouring the memory of his wife and hoping for the best as he and his children continue on.  As well as hoping Fester and others with similar words in their minds give it appropriate consideration as well.

I will say flying in the MA silently thinking about SD and his family has certainly opened my eyes and mind to appreciate the people behind the joystick, and what potential challenges they have faced, are facing, or could potentially face.  It's also caused me to dedicate more time going forward to improving my in-game fighting skills and less talking smack to or with people like you.

Didn't feel awkward at all and actually am proud to say impacted me in a positive way and felt like exactly the right and most appropriate thing to do. :salute

PS: In addition to flying silently in the MA, it even encouraged me to go to the TA and get some time in.  If not for SD67's story, I would likely have been in the MA talking smack to people.  So more people benefited than just me, unless of course, they would rather have me smack talking them.

Something else?

What, exactly, is it now?

I'm sure it felt like satin sheets to you, but that wasn't my point.

I think the point Dan was trying to make is that you staying silent on the internet is in no way a fitting tribute to anyone that has died, ever.  Most people would have felt silly suggesting it, but of course it seemed like an awesome idea to you.

If you're this clueless in real life, you really should stop it.  If this is just an act, you picked a bad time to continue it.

You know, normally I would argue with you and explain it to you, but since we obviously disagree on my doing nothing or my observing silence and reflecting on the real human tragedy here being the better of the two options for me... I'm not sure I would get anywhere with you and your insult hurling.  I do have more than a clue but won't go into it.  So let's leave it at that.  We'll agree to disagree, ok? :aok

I called you clueless.  That's the best way I could think of to describe someone who offered an lone day of silence on the internet to honor a life of someone they didn't know who died two years ago.

This isn't a baseball game.  If you truly wanted to honor SD's wife, there's a thousand things you could have done, all of which without grandstanding it in the thread.

That would be great advice for everyone on AH.

I for one am sick of the bullying, sick of the BS.  I love AH and have made some great friends but there are a few of you who go out of your way to antagonise and belittle others all because you have a better score therefore think you are untouchable.

Seriously?  You can't own even the smallest bit of responsibility for your recent actions and you want to make this about Midway?

And you throw out the word notorious?  That would imply you have some expectations of how people act within the AH "community."

A bit ironic from someone who doesn't care don't you think?

The sad part Fester is you are way too smart for this stuff.  The last thing AH needs is another village idiot.

Actually, in his own way he has apologized (in both threads concerning him). However the BBS and it's occupants and taken the matter way out of hand.

I think ALL those who have the ability to reply to this thread should refrain from doing so. This has gone on long enough, there is no need for it anymore. Stop beating the horse and move on!

Aces high is a first world dilemma!!!

All count their lucky stars as to where they live and their loved ones that have to put up with us all.

Fester is a sweetheartbag and always was, the muppets are a joke as they always were, maybe if they had seen how lucky they are play a cartoon game in a first world country they would lose some ego. Being good at a computer game doesn't look like fun as it looks like people with their heads up their bellybutton gaming a game, the game was supposed to be fun?

If this is what some people need to feel good so be it, but the world is a big place full of nice peopl,e dont let a few bad apple's wreak things no matter what that may be, even if its a outdated cartoon flying game.

I have flow with SD in squad for 10 years, best down to earth guy you will meet and lot of real stories and personality to boot, something the lame on this game dont have.

We are here for a very short time and if gaming a game is your goal then go do that but dont come on talking crap about anyone as real life isnt a PC game and in the end bad attitude will bit back hard in so many ways.

Beefie

I've taken a few days before I responded, mostly because if I responded sooner it would have been directly to HTC, something I have never done and won't do.
I did see your post, and I also saw your edit, which after the original post was even more deplorable.
Your original post
Which was bad enough but to replace it with
Speak volumes for your character.

I could say the above comments from Fester surprise me, but it would be a lie. I honestly had no problems with Fester whatsoever till I made the poor choice apparently to kill his Tiger 2's multiple times in the past. Then I started to receive the most nasty hateful PM's from him each time I'd run into him or down his IL-2. Comments about how I needed to go back to Iraq and find another IED....etc, and others I won't mention about being a disabled Vet. So NO I am not surprised he would say the above about your wife. I just report it and send it into Skuzzy now days. As I can see now I'm not the only one he does it to. SD sir I am sorry for your loss. :pray No excuse for Fester saying that kind of stuff esp over a cartoon game.

The bottom line is that you can't expect the type of person who has no respect for himself to respect you.  Just ignore the trash of humanity and expend your efforts on those worthy of your energy.  Use them as a life lesson to make yourself stronger rather than taking away from you.

Didn't want to comment in here, still don't, but then I saw the "apology."

So "I apologize" followed with a smiley face under it was taken as a sincere apology?

That is even more insult to injury. However, I'm positive this guy has had that smiley face removed and handed to him along with his rear end a time or two in real life.

Old Blood & Guts Fester to the rescue with a virtual "slap"

I'll be sure and pass on your views to the neighbor kid who has struggled with PTSD since his time in Iraq.  If the life he struggles with is milking it, I'm glad I missed out.  I'll mention it to my nephew too who after a year in combat in Afghanistan killing close up and watching buddies die and his best friend have his legs blown off, clearly has no reason for the nightmares and the battle with the bottle to try and drown them away.

Always good to have a cartoon warrior set us straight on the impact of combat on people.

SD, my condolences on your wife, that really sucks man. I hope you have someone to help with the kids as being a single parent is rather difficult. So you must find your inner strength for not only you but your children. My heart goes out to the young one ad I didn't know my father.

Fester, no qualms with you but that's a tucked up thing to say, mainxly to SD but there's no excuse for any negative, hurtful words. Some of us know who we are and can take a verbal hit, but if were off the rocker that can really take you down a notch. This threE reminds me of middle school and the beginning of high school. So many hurtful things it's just upsetting. Why must people do this? This has gotta be one of thee worst threads I've ever seen. Fester I think you do care, and the reason you do this toejam is to make yourself feel better.

No Fester I am Set for life because I was drug down the road by a drunk driver when I returned from Iraq.....Keep up and do not make assumptions you cannot prove to be fact.
As for the PTSD...yes I earn a pension for along w other injuries from Iraq....and me saying I am thankful to have all my limbs is just that...."I am Thankful". There are other vets who are far worse off than me.
And who are you to judge vets on how injured or non injured they are in first place?
Just because you have all limbs does not mean you are uninjured. I am thankful to be alive with only the injuries I have. I find it interesting that your idea of an injured vet is only if they missing limbs.
Id also like to point out that at first you....badgered me that I was not even a vet. Now unable to prove that.....you has progressed to you are not injured enough and a poser etc name calling.
Goes back to the point of the what he does to people he dislikes such as SD, myself and others in the beginning of this thread.
I guess I need to put my DD-214 up on file so he can see my military file.. So I can prove to a cartoon player my credentials  :rofl

Some of you people are pathetic, this is a GD WWII flying GAME. Ok, I understand getting to know each other, I understand venting sometimes but I'm serious you have to remember sometimes this is a FORUM for a GAME about FLYING AND COMBAT IN WWII.

Yet you people have taken this all more personally in every imaginable way than I could possibly imagine, soap operas look to you people for inspiration.

Seriously, I now completely understand why some want to quit and some want their forum accounts deleted, I'm about to follow them...

get a friggen grip people

My feelings exactly.  Thank you for stating it.

I concur with Red on the out of hand nature of the situation.

That said... Fester being out of line is an understatement.... he is on a completely different line somewhere in another dimension that is out of line in itself.

I totally agree.  Folks need to treat each other with respect, remember that they are sharing the game and the boards with a lot of others.

Going out of there way to antagonize others and derailing threads just because they can ends up looking selfish and gets old in a hurry.

Sure would be more fun to talk about the enjoyment the game can provide for us WW2 airplane junkies and maybe learn something too.

Personally I believe I've seen the AH crowd at it's best, and I do believe that the majority of players are good people and just want to have fun.  That doesn't mean there isn't a place for the trash talking and jabs taken in fun.

The problem seems to be some folks don't have a sense of where the line is and it goes from fun to the village idiot convention.

So Red, out of respect for your wishes, it's the last comment I'll make here.  If the point hasn't been understood, it never will be.

"Bad things happen when good men do nothing"

Good, no, actually great, to see the good coming out of all this ..  <S>

Guppy.....he just doesn't get it. He thinks that a Veteran is only disabled if they are missing limbs. Moreover his attack on me and others is another deflection from the main issue that SD called Fester the floor on. Fester's nasty attacks on people via 200ch and PM once you kill him. Teasing is one thing, but talking about deceased SD's wife, and calling suicide. He has told me I need to go back to Iraq and find and IED and get blown up, and all for what? Because of a loss in a cartoon plane or tank. That is the bones of the issue at hand. People would not comment if he did not do the things he does to them. As such he warrants little of my sympathy. People are just tired of it is all....esp when it is completely unnecessary.
