Gotta love how things carry on as they always have.  Single engine, trailing smoke, missing part of a wing, the cockpit awash with blood from pilot wounds, can't shoot straight, provide good bait for others, etc.  The only kills due to collisions, or people augering as they misjudged my altitude and plowing into the ground close to me

Great work on the skin, a nice tribute indeed.

I love reading the provenance piece you and others attach to the skins you create....probably the best part about checking in on this place. Keep em' coming, please.

I could easily go read all this stuff all at once on my own but it'd all blend together and lose meaning. It's better with a bit of context and space like this.

The biggest mistake people have made through the decades is recognizing corruption in the "system" and thinking greater power to the government will arrest and control that. It never works.

Capitalism is an amazing economic model... probably the best. But it's validity relies on all participants dealing with honesty and integrity. Throw one or two major charlatans in the mix and the whole house crumbles. Think there are might be a few cheats out there?

CRP ground is for making sure to market doesn't get flooded with a huge surplus of crops. Keeping prices stable yet high enough to pay for planting  and harvest.

It also promotes wildlife habitat

Down here many years back a prized add on to figure in on land purchase was how big was the tobacco allotment. Nobody down here grows tobacco anymore.  Now all the tobacco barns are rotting away.  The big tobacco warehouses and auction sites are now crumbling or cheap storage areas.

Thanks, ZE.   I'm pretty certain he flew it not long after it came out.  I think he got a chuckle out of it.  As you know, he swapped schemes regularly, so I'm sure he flew them all at one time or another.
